It's that time again! Time to think about the 2010 Yuletide Fanfiction Writing Exchange. Sign ups opened today. You can sign up until Nov 19th. www.yuletidetreasure.org/This year, the sign up is a little more complicated, mainly because they moved the project to a new site. It became really really big (with over 2000 participants!!), so this had to happen. But it's always a fun time, and I hope to see more GAH come out of the exchange. I wrote one story last year... If anyone wants to sign up, you need an AO3 account. They are invite only... but I have some invites available. Just contact me. So come on... Let's get more GAH fiction out there!

Thank you for the news, Jo. It's always nice to see a new post here on this board that is not "Oh, I was so sad to hear that _____ just died." Hopefully those writers that have found other places to hang out will still find it in their hearts to contribute something tGAH-related to keep the spirit alive. As stated previously, I miss the fun we used to have around here.

I still occasionally write, but it's been a while since I've written anything - and that was a few months ago. But given the reason I wrote that one, it may be why I took a hiatus too. Depending on how well work and my sideline does the next few weeks, I might try to do a fun story or two just to keep the spirit alive. ... or, if nothing else, I can try to think of 50 new quotes for that photo of Ralph and Bill looking at their watches and annoy MyTatuo again.

As stated previously, I miss the fun we used to have around here. I check in often, but no one seems to be around anymore to play! So it's hard to just come here and play with oneself... shush, you. The only GAH activity I really see lately is on facebook. I think a lot of people prefer to post there, since it's a centralized location. No need to sign into 20 different sites to check up on things. Instead, it's all there. I imagine a lot of websites like this have felt the sting of facebook and twitter. Even myspace seems to have fizzled out for most things. Blogs? Who blogs anymore, when you can just update a FB status. But honestly, it's a real shame, since most of what is posted there is tweet-like - a few words at a time, with not much else. @mac - I haven't written much either. There was some inquiry on the fanfiction.net site, and I directed them here, but they already knew about it.

Will say this much Jo - I would be more willing to write a fun one instead of another tribute to an actor through their character, i.e. "Farewell to an Old Friend." While I do like writing angst stories, sometimes you need a really silly one to get things running again. *Pause* Maybe I should do a story on the second Instruction book and its travels given that it shrunk so small and the ants were nearing Ralph in "DVS"...
