Totally agree... you can see it in the face. Love too the '40s hairstyle as well... must have been uncomfortable to wear IRL.

So, was he at Hofstra for this or was it just a segue to the interview? I"m not sure about where Newsday.com is located.

I like how he thinks the song should be updated. Just what we need. 'All songs sound the same Nickelback' to sing the theme.

LOL!
Nice, HD. I agree.
But then again, there is something to updating the music to draw in the youngins!
Then again, as far as I am concerned, it will erase the cheese factor for me. So....
Hey, it's not my franchise.

Ms. B! Next time there's something that close to NYC, let me know. I got places to stay there. We can meet up...You'll have a bed to sleep in, if your first choice don't work out the way you want it to...

I think the original is good (definitely recognizable even now), but if they had to update it, there was one done by a group that was pretty interesting. Heavy metal, but still the same theme. If I can find the link I'll let you hear it.
As long as they don't invert the theme song like I think they did "The Wild Wild West" (whistling both tunes it sounds like a bridge (up and down - matching) - that one still gets me.

"And the Web component? Will we visit the site and hear "Look at what's happened to me ..."? I think the Joey Scarbury song ["Believe It or Not"] will be redone - it's a little bit dated. If we can get someone like Nickelback to do it, that would be the best." BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, M-FBI.
Still not looking forward to a remake. But that's just me. Sorry...

Note though it's "think" not "is" on a remake of the theme. So, I say we petition in our way here to convince them to NOT change it. It's still very recognizable nowadays - Heck, people recognized it and the suit emblem (well mostly here) when I did the juggling routine a few years ago. That was during "GAH's" 25th anniversary.

I'm not against updating the theme, & I do like some of Nickelback's songs, but I don't think they're the band to do it. After Joey Scarbury's beautifully clear voice being so memorable, I think Nickelback's sound is too rough & grunty. The song needs someone with a great voice like Joey's. Just my opinion. I thought it was sweet that WK was actually with his Mum when he did that interview. ;D I notice he's gone for the scruffy look again in that new movie Deadland. Also, a weird little thing I noticed; one of the names in the credits at the end of the trailer, is the same as my brother's name! hehee! Feel the love. dolfyn.

Thanks again Ms B!!! I'm enjoying all these goodies! It's really good to hear the OFFICIAL reason he didn't do GAH afterwards.

I agree - it's nice to hear from the man himself that he chose to not continue because he was doing the "Perry Mason" specials and couldn't return. He honored his commitment to that show, the same as Connie with "Hotel," which speaks highly of both. The whole interview is great IMHO. The reporter did a good job interviewing him and overall keeping things relaxed and comfortable for both. Well - all of them have done that, but it's nice to see a longer interview done for the comics - both "GAH" and "Sparks." Not only that, the fellow also got Katt to talk a little about "Mythology Wars," which most haven't thought to ask if Catastrophic Comics was doing other comics besides "Sparks" and "GAH" (with Arcana). Great find Marci, and again thanks for sharing.
