That's the beauty of publishers/printers - have people try to be clairvoyant and predict the future when it can kick them in the butt especially since the economic crystal ball is cracked - almost all the way through.

And Ms. B couldn't confirm it because...? I would presume it's because either a. she's doing stuff for Avon or b. doing stuff related to the comic. There is c., where she has the suit and is using it to save the day. Bingo! And life too. The comics may be spread out more. But the info was as I had said. But they are taking it one comic at a time. We still have a ways to go and still have to find those people who don't know about it to get them the info so they can get it. Word of mouth is tough so tell everyone you know.

So it's not that you couldn't, but more that you hadn't been here yet to confirm it. Hopefully it continues to go. Wish Katt and company the best of luck for us in their endeavor. ;D

I talk to Katt all the time. I've been friends with the old boy since writing the script for the GAH movie and wanting him to be in something I was directing as well. He didn't tell me he was ending the books, only that the hoops the company was having to jump through were there. I've been on the phone or out to lunch and had extensive conversations about how hard it tis to make something work without having a million dollars before you start. I even helped him with the books a bit - (like the person who finds the instructions book at the end of 2 - I know who it is because I came up with it). Bill wants to do so much with this series and even though he's nice enough to send me copies of Sparks and GAH - I still go out and buy them to support his efforts. I've even offered my writing services for free just because he's that nice of a guy.

I've been buying multiple copies of each book. Although both comic shops in my area sold out of both TGAH issues off the shelf.

GG: So Diamond wants it to sell before distributing it? That doesn't make any sense. In the comic book world HD comic shops, etc must pre-order the product. So you must pre-order in March what will ship in May from Diamond. Back in the day when I had my own business in some cases Diamond would cancel a item that did not have enough orders.

Weird.
Apparently no one around here cares about the efforts because I have yet to see either version of his comics.
Mortimer: That's cool. It would be cool to see you writing the comics. ;D

We care HD... though I am surprised no one has commented yet about the second comic except for "Good stuff" and "excellent." "Sparks" and the first "GAH" comic are fantastic, though I wish that things were going well enough that the fourth and fifth books could've been released on "Sparks." Oh well, here's hoping things do well so we can see a graphic novel for it.

Well since you don't live "around here", it doesn't matter if you care.

Well since you don't live "around here", it doesn't matter if you care. "Around here" is vague HD, and could mean anywhere.

Yes...if you live on the moon. Well, there are some who think I come from a planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelguese, but that's quite a busy place as it is. About as bad as the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, but just a smidge less.

One thing I will say about these books are that they really have given a lot of activity to the board.
I have a run of Sparks, but I remember when Bill was originally telling me about the book he wanted to end it with a reveal that it was actually the story of JJ BECK - no kidding. I think he went a different way now.

One thing I will say about these books are that they really have given a lot of activity to the board. Actually, about 1-2 years ago, there was a LOT more activity on the board, by LOTS of different people. And it wasn't all concentrated in one or two threads.

JJ Beck? That would have been neat to see. ;D I agree, Josie. It was great when the board was super active.

That's true Jo, but I can see Mortimer' point. Before 2005 when the DVDs came out, there were hardly any posts on the original board. Maybe one or two every month or so, and there were quite a few true flat out flamefests that'd make some of our more heated ones in recent times look like matchflames (and yes, I'm being serious). That said, I think I'm going to go looking through my DVDs again - I found a funny flick flub the other day in "Train of Thought" and needed to post it up.

Did anybody else notice that on the cover (upper left hand corner) it says dif'rent in CDN? Is that normal to spell "different" that way for comics?
