That is what I like about NYC...all the avenues go one way and the streets go the other and they are numbered up.

Funny thing is, there was one city I'd travel through that I'd know which way I was going by one ghost hotel. It was the Hotel Settles in Big Spring the tallest building in downtown (I think the VA hospital's bigger, but farther away in the city). If it was on my passenger side, I was going East, on driver's side, Southeast. Best direction finder on the road I had. Out of all the country songs I've juggled to, I'm surprised no one's asked me to juggle to "Miles of Texas" or whatever it's called (goes "I saw miles and miles of Texas. ..."). That song is just to real in my case. I've been every direction except far west to El Paso and far south to Brownsville. "South," however, I have, and that one fits well, though something bizzare happens when I juggle to it. It's the one I got dizzy spinning to one time.

Do you have a favorite juggling routine or do you just juggle to any song that people suggest and that you can keep a beat too?

Do you have a favorite juggling routine or do you just juggle to any song that people suggest and that you can keep a beat too? OK, since I don't think I've ever answered this, I'll list them. I've liked all the routines I've juggled for some reason or another, but my favorites are: My own choice of music:- "Theme to the Greatest American Hero" (Obviously ) - "Star Wars" - "Mission: Impossible" - "The Wild, Wild West" (opening title to movie, though I'd love to do one to the electric guitar version of the original if they still had it.) - "Jurassic Park" - "In the Mood" and - "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" Chosen for me (usually the Country Opry):- "Orange Blossom Special/Cabbage" - "Jambalaya" - "South" - "Cajun Fiddle" - "Gone at Last" (with the emcee singing usually) and - "Man of Constant Sorrow," usually a group sketch, and I didn't sing. And the one exception to country: "Let Your Light Shine" — from "Godspell" I've done some requests, but not too many. Most of the time if I juggle in an impromptu situation, it's no music and usually something I can find, i.e. the potatoes. The one exception was the pre-show sketch I did at the Musical "TEXAS" when I brought my own stuff. I had to talk on stage though with very little electronic help, so it was doubly hard. But, the one good thing was the tarantulas didn't try to visit during that time of day. Hard enough not to trip on the skirt as was. It was also the first and only time I've juggled in a dress. To me, juggling in a dress is not fun and very uncomfortable.

Maybe we should poll people and see what they would like you to juggle your next routine too.

Maybe we should poll people and see what they would like you to juggle your next routine too. Most of these are very old ("Star Trek" is the oldest at 14), and I've used almost all of them (exceptions "In the Mood" and "GAH") more than once. Unless I somehow end up appearing at a big event or something, I usually do something new each time. That's part of the fun of juggling, always experimenting with new songs and routines. And, that's how I found out that "Apollo 13" and "Lost In Space" were probably not the best choices of music. And, I nearly choked on the apple when I did the eat the apple bit for "Apollo 13." Since then, I've avoided it except for shows like the opry and only as part of a skit and not actually juggling routine.

Are you open to requests though? I am sure we all have great ideas and you could tell us the logistics of the routine and why they would or would not work.

Are you open to requests though? I am sure we all have great ideas and you could tell us the logistics of the routine and why they would or would not work. For the most part. I've had some that I wouldn't do, such as circus music. That's one of my peeves in regard to juggling, and want to try to get people to see a different aspect of juggling. But, pretty much any suggestions are appreciated, and a couple have become popular favorites. "Star Wars" was one of two I had planned for a talent show, and I asked a couple of people's opinions on it and music from "Riverdance" (it's a cool music choice BTW). They both said "Star Wars," and it's probably the one people will recognize me for. "Orange Blossom Special" is another example of this. It was an impromptu choice the emcee gave me, but it's probably one of the ones I'm best remembered for there. Still, the oddest was the one gentleman who was talking to Dad one day at work last year. He said he went to see the show back in '99, and Dad mentioned that I was hospitality there and I juggled in a pre-show. The man said, "I remember her, she was good." That was one of the biggest honors I've ever gotten, since that was a few years ago.

"Orange Blossom Special" got me thinking along fast-paced country lines. How about doing a routine to the "Devil Went Down to Georgia?"

"Orange Blossom Special" got me thinking along fast-paced country lines. How about doing a routine to the "Devil Went Down to Georgia?" Might work, don't know. I'd have to listen to all of it first, as I've only heard part of it. Other problem is length. An average routine is 3:30, though some are shorter. "Doctor Who" is at 2:42, and "WWW" is 2:56. The longest is "Jurassic Park" at 7:30, and one that'd need to be cut before I could use it again.

I think this song is roughly three to four minutes...I don't recall at the moment, but it is upbeat...maybe even too fast.

"Orange Blossom Special" is very fast if played properly, so I could handle the speed of it. Only risk is spinning to match the speed. Don't stay focused, you could fall down. But it's not slow to the point you take very slow steps around the area to go from Point A to Point B.

Well, the song is right around 3 minutes and 30 seconds...however, I don't know if you could juggle to it unless it is during the fiddling scenes...a couple of the song parts are slow.

Ralph: Screw the California mandatory seatbelt law! Seatbelts are for *makes quotes in air* LOSERS! Bill: Trust me, kid, you don't want to see what happens to a face after going through a windshield at speed... ...insert literal anecdote ala MelMac here...

Thanks guys. Does seem a bit literal doesn't it. But, I thought this was supposed to be for juggling posts, but then again, I'm still commenting about it on other boards, but in a little more descret way.

No...you can comment on anything relevant to you here, but I thought that juggling would probably take priority...if you don't want it, I will take it in the JUST FOR HD thread because I love it. Might see if I can get your GETTYSBURG one there too.

Or, I can post it (sometime this century).
