Just not the same all these years later.

Uh... I'm almost afraid to make a comment on that picture.
The word "photoshop" immediately sprang to mind...
I did say "almost."

Well, now I definitely can't wait for the TV Land Awards, just for this. Morbid curiosity, I believe is the term...lol. Last year, the theme was sung, now Katt himself in the opening montage.
I know it's a longshot, but one of these years I wonder if they'll finally pull the trigger on GAH for TV Land. I don't recieve RTN, and it would be nice to see how the episodes run on a major cable network.

Uh... I'm almost afraid to make a comment on that picture. The word "photoshop" immediately sprang to mind... I did say "almost." My opinion only - this looks like it is a very good photoshop. There's just something off in the pic to me for this to be a real pic. He'd had to have gained a bit of weight since Ms B saw him in Boston, which makes me wonder about some of the roles he's been in since (and the few I know he's been trimmer). Also, the stage looks quite a bit odd for an award show: Unless they're backstage, the ceiling wouldn't look like that, and even there, they'd have a few more lights than what we're seeing. Plus, the backdrop curtains look out of place for a fairly large and fancy shindig such as the TV Land Awards. Plus... I'd at least hope they'd give him a slightly better costume than that - same goes for all the actors. But, will say this - either way, I agree with Sayscalled. It's great they're putting in "GAH" two years in a row, and maybe this is a precursor to them showing the show on TV Land - and possibly with the music intact.

Well, having done photoshop I can tell it's not. I do know he didn't have the extra when I saw him. My photos show that. remember too that the wiring apparatus adds a bit. Plus the pressure of his weight to the wire. Let's wait till he crashes- I mean lands then we can see.
As far as the costume. It's one show so they might not want to go all out if that makes sense.

I'm positive that photo is the real deal. I agree they wouldn't spend a lot for an outstanding costume.
Great to see Katt back in the suit, one more time!

Oh man, that's an awful pic! I hope it's meant to be a joke. And I hope that's a fake gut! Feel the love. dolfyn.

I guess I'm kinda iffy only because I take photos for a living, but I do agree with all of you too that it probably is legit. And, I agree too - it's great to see Katt in the suit and doing this. Plus, it'll be neat to see the other actors who are doing this in their costumes (even if I still can't choose which one I think Koppell will be in - everyone else's is pretty obvious).

Oh man, that's an awful pic! I hope it's meant to be a joke. And I hope that's a fake gut! Feel the love. dolfyn. The bit is a joke - Vanessa Williams is singing "I'm flying" from "Peter Pan," and several older actors are going to be flying over the audience in costumes. It's not the only time they've done this - they also have done spoof opening credits with the host in them (i.e. Kelly Ripa doing her impression of being in "That Girl"), or - as in the first season - the stars of some shows sung the theme songs to said show. The only one that still gets me to this day is Gavin McLeod's singing to "The Love Boat." He was a bit off key and a little cringeworthy. That said, I did think it was neat though seeing them do that - and this is going to be neat too.

Man - I mean I adore GAH and everything about it, so I hate to be petty here, but I'm gonna anyway. Couldn't he at least have sucked in his GUT???

THAT'S William Katt in the costume and hanging there??? I never would have known it was him, if you folks hadn't told me. Not the weight, he's gained pounds here and there over the years, but the hair and face. It does not really LOOK like him to me. I'm sure it is him, of course, just if I had seen that photo somewhere else, I would not have said, "Oh, Katt!"

Come on y'all! It's at least symbolic!
Give the guy a break. . .you won't look the same in 26.5 years as you do now. . .
I'm just glad to see him in some semblance of the suit!

All: Just a question, for the 'Golden Girls' reunion... what exactly are they planning on doing? Rolling out 3 coffins? (I kid, I kid...) ;D

I must say however, they would have been better off getting the costume from 80s Tees than what he's wearing in the picture. And those shoes!!!!!!!!

Oh, I agree too, but I really hate the harnesses, because they do make him look heavier than he more than he is in any pics I've seen lately of him. I think it's great he's in the suit, and it looks like he's having (at least) some fun doing this. Plus, if that paragraph's too, he's the final one to fly, and usually people remember the last thing/person they see doing this stuff.

I like how the Katt fans are out to say it was photoshop because they have ideal Ralph in their heads still. Everybody changes with age and the makeup might have been added already too, causing more changes, especially if the lights were not on him yet. Maxwell: I agree. How do you tribute the GOLDEN GIRLS twenty some years later?

OK It is him on the wire. It was the padding from the wire apparatus that makes him looks like has has a belly plus the pressure from the his weight and the wiring. When you see him after he lands you'll see.

How do you tribute the GOLDEN GIRLS twenty some years later? Hey - I'd say the same thing if Connie looked bad in a shot. But, hey, I know a lot of people who would love to look like that at 57 - and still look decent in a superhero costume they wore 27 years ago. (not sure about makeup - they'd have to do a slightly different version for theater then normal light and double if they're up in the air).
