I have to admit, the scene will be fun to watch. From the story above: ... As host Vanessa Williams sang the much-loved song from "Peter Pan" entitled "I'm Flying," classic TV stars Barry Williams, Bernie Kopell, Gary Coleman, Jerry Mathers, Jimmie "JJ" Walker, Dawn Wells, Alison Arngrim, Ron Palilo and William Katt flew above the crowd as their beloved characters. So, If I read this right, they all will be dressed as their old characters: Williams will be dressed as Greg Brady; Koppell either as either Doc (The Love Boat) or Siegfried (Get Smart - I say this b/c of the movie coming out); Coleman as Arnold Jackson; Mathers are "The Beave"; Walker as James 'J.J.' Evans, Jr.; Wells as Mary Anne; Arngrim as Nellie Olsen; Palilo as Arnold Horshack; and Katt as of course Ralph. ;D I have to admit, in some of those cases it will be very interesting - such as Arngrim as Nellie in the prairie dress and Wells in a Mary Anne costume, but it'll be fun I think. The Emmys I think did that one time with Sally Field when she was the Flying Nun. Only difference was she got to wear her regular clothes and not the habit.

I will not be able to watch this, so would someone mind taping it and putting it up on YouTube?

I will not be able to watch this, so would someone mind taping it and putting it up on YouTube? I don't have the skills, but Ms B might be able to. Plus, given who all is doing this, I think it'll be one of those featured performances that they put up on the TVLand awards site. Also, "GAH" is also nominated for the "Which would you like to see as a ringtone" vote again. I've voted, but we need more people to vote in order to show that "GAH" is popular even today. So one questions: Which character do you think Koppell will be dressed as? I can't really vote because both are legit reasons to have him in that character: Koppell is loved in both roles, though he only starred as "Doc." (Will say Doc's popular too where I live - we had an event here and they featured "The Love Boat" characters. Had Capt. Stubbing, Vicki, Julie, and Doc - not Gopher or Issac).

I love how you post that you don't have the skills, but then volunteer someone else instead of just letting them offer to do it.

I read that as saying that Ms B might be able to do it, not that she would do it. By this, I meant Marci has done YouTube stuff before so it's not naive to suggest her name. (Besides, given that Marci likes to steal Ralph's clothes so ... well... it's not a bad suggestion. )

Actually, unless someone beats me to it, I was planning on YouTube-ing it as soon as the show is done. (Love the DVD recorder! )

She still volunteered you instead of just waiting to see.

She still volunteered you instead of just waiting to see. OK, if it were Connie, and since you can't see it, wouldn't you suggest someone who has the know-how and you know that person does to record it for you?

No, Mel, I wouldn't. I would have posted a generic asking like I did and then waited for someone to volunteer.

No, Mel, I wouldn't. I would have posted a generic asking like I did and then waited for someone to volunteer. Oh well... either way should be win-win for you: Someone will end up recording it. ********************** And, I agree Miss D, would be neat to see Katt in the suit as well again, as well as everyone who's participating in this bit. I'm still trying to figure out which character Koppell will be dressed up as if they go in character costumes, but I'm hoping it'll be Doc because he was a lead on "The Love Boat."

Just the bit with Katt in it. The whole show... would take forever. (Well, maybe not literally forever, but... you know what I mean. )

Just the bit with Katt in it. The whole show... would take forever. (Well, maybe not literally forever, but... you know what I mean. ) Well... this little bit they're doing will be a lot of fun to see because of who's doing it. Not too interested in the other categories or activities with the possibility of the appearance of three of the "Golden Girls." One thing I've noticed though - they have Katt doing the sketch this year, I think last or year before last they had Scarbury on the show singing the theme in the beginning of the show. (Though I think the dancers didn't quite understand the song's words. ) Maybe "GAH" is going to eventually get the recognition it deserves instead of them doing the switcharound/ignoring categories if Ralph/"GAH" is the top dog. I still think Ralph was winning the "Favorite Flying object" (over the helicopter in "Airwolf," etc.) before it was pulled.
