I am not going, but I have to work so even if I could afford it, I would not be going.

Same here - if I only had the time and money, I would sooooooooooo be there! I would love to go, but I would hope there is more going on than just the GAH session. I would hate to spend a lot of money for little in potential returns. After all, I wouldn't be the only fan trying to see the cast back together. It could lead to fist fights and me in jail.

It's part of a comic con, and this is just for I think an hour of the whole day. But, given how they're doing this - who knows who all's attending (fans, curious folks, the cast, media, etc.) Could be more crowded in there than the spaceship is sparse of beings.

Just back in town, and wading through the off topic stuff on this thread, I can't really tell who is going to the San Diego Comic Con to see the panel with Culp, Katt and Selleca on the new comic book series of TGAH. It's July 24th, 12:30-1:30; this Thursday. I could fly in and out...for a day trip...anyone else going?
This would be FUN!

Mona I don't think any of us are going for various reasons - biggest one is that, according to MyTatuo (who lives in California), the convention is SOLD OUT: (please to forgive double-posting: tried to update original, but browser kept crashing) Ha ha, never mind... Comic-Con already sold out... Also, www.comic-con.org/ . So, not only is it big news, most of us will have to watch it on YouTube because it's sold out. Now - if anyone did manage to snag a ticket - please share what goes on Thursday.

I read through the Comic Con website and could not find that they were going to be there...just the blurb about Katt and the comics announcement. Can someone link directly to the page on the website that says they will be there for it...the original cast?

It was also in the newsarama blogs, and on Catastrophic Comics board (with teaser): blog.newsarama.com/2008/07/19/believe-it-or-not/#more-8864Of course, it's sold out (more because of fire codes and I don't think anyone wants to get one as heavy as the Astrodome did - though I'm kinda irked because it's been defunct mostly for 7 years. ), so none can sign up now.

I know it is on the blog, but I wanted something more official. Hell, I could post a blog saying that.
Katt's comic site might be better, but I would think for something that big there would be more hype surrounding it (or at least a mention of it) on the Comic Con site.

I am going to be there, but unfortunately not until the weekend. Hopefully the cast will stick around to check out all the other panels/sights. Maybe I will be lucky and bump into one of them! ;D

It's cool that you are going. Let us know what you see...even if you don't get lucky enough to see the GAH cast.

Only thing I can guess is that Comic Con's trying to keep it under wraps so people don't get upset that they can't go to it to see this occasion. Can understand that - don't want people to be upset and not come back. :-\

Right because people tend to get upset at something they miss that is as big as Comic Con.

Right because people tend to get upset at something they miss that is as big as Comic Con. Well, the "GAH" annoucement is big. But, more than likely, they're also probably keeping mum because either a. It's still supposed to be top secret (though Katt himself hinted there "Might" be a leak the other day ) and b. the fire marshal rules and such.

The fire marshal would be fine with the cap on attendance. I like how you think this is so big that it would cause a mass riot.

On the left side, where it says "Comic-Con", "What's New", "Special Guests" etc, go to where it says "Programming" and, under the four days, there's a search box. Type in "William Katt" and click the little > box by it. This is what should come up: Thursday, July 24 12:30-1:30 William Katt: Greatest American Hero Comic— Join Alex, Justin, and Pete from Pulp Secret for one of the biggest announcements at this year's Comic-Con, an event that's been 25 years in the making. Catastrophic Comics' William Katt (Greatest American Hero), Christopher Folino (Gamers), and Derek McCaw (Fanboy Planet) along with Arcana Studios' Sean O'Reilly (The Clockwork Girl) are on hand for an interview and Q&A. Room 7AB Official enough for you? ;D

The Marshal did put a cap on attendance based on their Web site. Plus, given that they cited the Astrodome for things even though it's been in disuse mostly since the Astros moved to Minute Maid Park and the violation could've been caused by it. :-\ Besides, why not think that there's a lot of people who are going to be waiting in line for some time hoping to get to be a part of something that has been 25 years in the making?
