Congrats on both meeting Pare and becoming a grandmother ThatGirl. Glad that persistence paid off.

Thanks! I'm still kind of in disbelief... for both things!

I hope the wedding went well though. ;D And too bad Pare was not overly friendly.

I hope the wedding went well though. ;D And too bad Pare was not overly friendly. At least he's friendly. From what I've read about Culp, he seems to be a bit more standoffish compared to Pare, Katt and others who've appeared at these conventions. Now, if Connie would appear in one or two conventions so someone could meet her.

I have not heard that about Culp. If anything, I have heard he is very open...just like some of the others that people have met. Where are you getting some of these rumors, Mel?

I hope the wedding went well though. ;D For the most part, it was great. The photographer was a very expensive disappointment, but otherwise it was great. Yeah, I know. *sigh* Actually, he was really nice, and spent a lot of time chatting with us. Besides, I managed to cuddle in pretty well for the picture! LOL! At least that's what my husband says.

I thought I made it clear in my typing this was my opinion, but I guess not, so it was assumed a rumor. Apologies for making it appear as such. In this case, my opinion is standoffish as in not as talkative and open to his fans compared to others. This was based from what I read on Mona's comments from meeting Culp at a convention. MyTatuo's meeting from what I read also seemed to appear that Katt seemed friendlier than Culp. (So I don't get bashed: Both of these are my opinions only based on what I've read. It's also one reason I'd love to meet both actors.) But, I've also read just about everywhere that Culp as an actor has been blackballed by some for his behavior. Katt I haven't heard that nor have I other actors in the show.

I don't know about any of that. It may be true, but it would be fun to meet him. I thought Lindsey Wagner was less than thrilled to be there but she managed a smile for our camera when I told her what a thrill it was to meet her. Otherwise, not really a happy camper. Might just have been a bad day for her; might just have been a bad day for Culp.

Mel, take it easy. You said you had "heard" it, which implies that someone told you, so it is not only your opinion. I was just curious where you heard some of these things. And since you have never met him, I found it odd for you to make that statement. Just because he was not as exuberant as Katt or others does not mean he is stand-offish, you know? As for Katt not being blackballed, he would have to be in the mainstream again some day. It does look like you cuddled in nicely. I got lucky on my wedding: The photographer was a cheap surprise, especially in the quality of the photos.

I got lucky on my wedding: The photographer was a cheap surprise, especially in the quality of the photos. Someone did - Mona and MyTatuo's blogs on it. But, because I have been taken too literally as far as my feelings about Maxwell and Culp, I have to make my point clear when it's an opinion or not. I just don't like to be challenged all the time because of my misunderstanding of the English language at times. Nothing else, chalk it up to being a dumb Texan - which seems to happen because Bush if from Texas. Now, as far as Katt, I also did get an autograph from him when I sent that letter to him - didn't ask for one or expect it (didn't even have my addy on it), but he asked for my address and I got an autograph. I don't know if Culp'd do that, but as most know I probably wouldn't ask because I'm not as big of a fan of his. But that goes true to about half the actors and actresses today.

Again, being less friendly than another person does not necessarily make someone standoffish overall. You said you had heard it, so I was curious as to where you had heard it since a lot of people that have met Culp at conventions have said that he was very friendly and open. I was not challenging your understanding of the English language. I was asking some clarifying questions, especially since you never met the man.
And you would probably not get an autograph from Culp. Since you are not that big of a fan, you would probably not ask anyone to take anything for you to him and he would not be as involved in you since you are not a fan of his.

I used the autograph to show that I do know that Katt can be generous. I did, however, say that as far as Culp giving me an autograph I won't know because I'm not a fan of his and wouldn't ask, but this was ignored in reading.
But, that's neither here nor there... since this is a Pare thread and I'm going to change subjects.

Something crawl up your craw today? Geez. Anyway: ThatGirl: Did you ask him about any upcoming projects and such, like the one you posted a while back about him working with Katt?

We didn't talk about that one. He's filming something in Bulgaria again, I think he said. He gets a lot of work out of the country. Whatever. it keeps him busy. He'd like to play Bill Maxwell in an upcoming TGAH movie that apparently may be in the works, but he doesn't know much about the project yet. What do you think of that? I guess either Culp can't or won't.

I imagine Culp would like too, but is too old to play the part. He could cameo the original part, but I doubt the writers would do that for fear of alienating new fans. I personally think he should not play a Maxwell character but I know I am alone in that too.

I guess either Culp can't or won't. More than likely, that movie rumor is a hoax. The URL that started it has disappeared, and there's factors in there that make me highly question it's validity. They did, however, have casting calls from the now (apparently) defunct "TGAH 2008" project, which features a female wearer named Morgan Hathaway. But, it'd be neat to see the cast make cameos in there, as long as the movie's worth it. What I read as a possible scenario for this one leaves me going , :-\ and on come cases.

I think it would be cooler if he played Tony, as an FBI agent trained by Maxwell before he "retired". I think that has been said here many times by other members also. I think that would be ideal.

I don't. I think Tony went to jail.
