Does anyone here have any interest in his movies, old and/or new? Some are in the lower "B-" category, I agree, but some are pretty good.

I loved Eddie and the Cruisers! I have not been able to find Eddie Lives to rent.... but yes! Always good info!
So, here's the question. Why was Pare's career so dwarfed by Don Cervantes'?

I have never seen the EDDIE AND THE CRUISERS movies, but a lot of people tell me they are worth it. As for anything else, HOPE FLOATS was okay, but only because I believe he was typecast.

I can't even watch Hope Floats and I know you are just kidding. (ahem ahem) That is a horrible movie. Has anyone else seen Midnight Heat?

I haven't. I have not seen most of his movies. Could you suggest some...especially ones that video places might carry?

"Into the Sun" is a good one, in my opinion. I think he's pretty funny in "Sworn Enemies", "Midnight Heat" (Also called "Sunset Heat"), and "World Gone Wild". They are not great cinematic events, but they have their moments. Of course the "Eddie" movies, "Streets of Fire", and "Philadelphia Experiment" are some of his more well known work. "Men of Means" is interesting and very different from his usual fare. "October 22" is pretty good and different also. "Solar Force" is kind of fun also. A bit corny, but that's no surprise! I also like "Merchant of Death" and "Instant Justice".
You know, you could always mosey over to my Paré site and read about his movies and see if any of them sound interesting.

It was a trick question because he hasn't done any movie worth watching. Kidding aside, I have only seen HOPE FLOATS and one of the EDDIE movies at the video store. Where do you see them if you don't have cable and can't rent them? And last I checked, your site was members only. I don't want anyone to think I MIGHT like him.

I've seen and have "Eddie and the Cruisers," which also was one of the top 10 fictional bands ever. There was one movie I thought he was in but wasn't, but the movie was really awful and the person who I though he was did some pretty... gruesome... things.

Whoosh, right over my head! Oh well. Getting old. Anyway, no, I don't think there is going to be any way for you to ever see any of them! LOL!

I have only seen Philadelphia Experiment (specifically because Paré was in it) and Hope Floats, though I'm ashamed as a tGAH fan to say I didn't recognise him at the time. Oh, and caught a snippet of Eddie I on broadcast TV once, but wasn't interested enough to sit through commercials. Years back I started a thread asking ThatGirl for some reviews of his work, or a top ten. That may have been why I rented Experiment, but I don't think it ever actually got completed

I'm pretty sure I wrote a longer description but maybe I'm wrong.

Like I said, maybe it was on the old board because I looked and I couldn't seem to find it.

Oh well. It's no big deal to join my site and look around for the descriptions. You don't have to worry about the stigma!

But if you love his acting that much, you should want to post it here too.
