It has come to my attention that there are "Unauthorized" individuals posting on different message boards and/or forums claiming to have inside information.
We are flattered by the enthusiasm; BUT unauthorized postings on behalf of TGAH 2008 Project have generated many rumors and untruths. I appreciate the opportunity you have given me to answer questions ANY and ALL (within reason) about the TGAH 2008 Project.
I would like to take a moment to dispel a few rumors that have been brought to my attention.
We are not using an Elvis song for the theme.
We are not using Limp Bizkit for the theme song.
Owen Wilson did not go into rehab because we turned him down, he never auditioned.
There were NOT hundreds of people at our shoot; there were approximately 40 individuals all Cast and Crew.
There were three locations to shoot the Announcement Trailer, Devils Punch Bowl, Barstow and Vasquez Rock. Due to insurance coverage requirements we shot the trailer at Vasquez Rocks.
I read through the postings here on the “OFFICIAL GAH BOARD” and found it disheartening when I read through the flaming and bashing going on at the GAH Message Board in the name of TGAH 2008 Project. Allow me to apologize for Mr. Lingle you may know him as “BadBoyEdge4life” on your message boards.
I humbly apologize for the actions of ONE that caused so much distortion of the truth and chaos amongst us all. Mr. Lingle is no longer associated with TGAH 2008 Project you may do what you wish with his account(s).
I am pretty much a straight shooter so I will do the best to answer your questions.
“Collazo”

Thanks for joining, Mr Collazo! (Hope I don't now sound like I'm kissing your @$$ Although I do live near L.A., and did study acting in college--) but I digress. If I get to be the first to ask the questions, I did read in one of your earlier newsletters that your legal standing is covered concerning the "use" of Cannell's work. Can you go into further detail on that? If this is an "official" TGAH (fan) movie, but you have no connection to Cannell Productions, how does that work?

Can you go into further detail on that? If this is an "official" TGAH (fan) movie, but you have no connection to Cannell Productions, how does that work? The names and likenesses of many characters in American television and film productions maybe registered trademarks of the producing company. Trademark infringement requires the infringed party to show a likelihood of confusion, this typically is seen as only requiring that fan fiction writers make certain that their work cannot be confused with the trademark holder, and do not claim to be endorsed or produced by them. Most authors avoid legal trouble by including short disclaimers at the beginning of their stories or chapters regarding the copyright or trademark status of the original work or characters.

You want him to come up with his own questions, and then answer them??? I think the majority of us can police ourselves, and ask the questions without forcing Mr Collazo to defend himself or his project. I choose to treat him as I would treat William Katt or Stephen Cannell (or any other 80's cast/crew) if they chose to come on this board to talk about their current projects. Hopefully other members will show him the same respect, as he is a fan just as we are.

Believe me when I tell you, that you can ask anything and I will do my best to answer them. I am not at all offended by any comments made prior to me coming online.

Be nice extreme01 okay. fair enough. but you understand, that we have been and are currently fans of the show(and have been for along time), and with something new coming along like this, and having been disappointed before with new ventures promising good things and not messing with the formula, etc, and heaven forbid, have it turn out like the new i spy or starsky and hutch movies, we`re kinda worried on how things might turn out for this. we`ve watched every episode thousands of times,we`ve analyzed them forwards and backwards, and discussed just about everything that has to do with the show, so a few of us are just skeptic about all of this. that`s all. we just want it to be done right, and have it truly fit,and make it a true continuation of the story and series.

I think Ted meant just wanting to get the answers straight from you. (yes... literal MelMac mode is here. ) I do have a question: where did you get the idea for Morgan Hathaway? In the filmed version of "GAHeroine," Holly is apparently single/never married and is an adopted mother to Sarah. If it's a backstory you came up with here and you can't say right now, I respect that, but I am interested in how you came up with the idea.

Is there any idea of getting the original trio to make appearances or would that likely cause trademark issues?

Another question while I am thinking it: Did you approach SJC and see if there was a chance to work with him and get help or was the idea to branch away as much as possible?

Well, if no one else is jumping on this: Without revealing any secrets, is the new costume meant to simply be a 21-century update, or is it to differentiate yourselves from the original, as you said earlier? I understand that the new emblem will be explained as part of the new "mythos", but the suit itself also seems to be radically different (no sleeves, cutouts on hips, material?) As you may have read here before, our members have nit-picked the NBC remake costume to death, and that was over minor changes Perhaps how that the clips are on the TGAH2008 YouTube site, you could share a clearer picture of the suit with us (maybe, maybe, hopefully, aw come on!) Also, what can you tell us about the actress playing Morgan? (No, I won't stalk her; my interest in a female suit-wearer is purely for humor purposes )

Possible expected question from me, but here goes it. Will any locations from the former show be used? As a possible cameo appearance or the like?
(And if so, could you list the ones being used. I collect that kind of information here.. lol.. just joking on that request.)

Extreme01, I have a been fan of the show since it first aired (giving away my age). I own one of the largest GAH memorabilia of prototype toys, trading cards, props including but not limited to the first prototype of the MEGO VW Convertible with Ralph and Bill. I take GAH very seriously I in no way want to screw this up in any kind of way. But do keep in mind that all stories have a starting point and the TGAH 2008 Project just so happens to begin with the Heroine. I am sure that all of us remember DVS where we knew that Ralph could get hurt, so our story begins with what if "Holly" got killed who would avenge her death? It was the most logical place to begin for us and build a new adventure from there. So I think starting with a DVS scenario will make it fit in my opinion.
