I don't see why you expend so much energy, Mel. If you ignore them, they will leave. If it does happen, it probably won't pull in fans of the original because it will probably not be true to the original. Why not just ignore everyone saying it is going to happen and wait until it does? The A-TEAM movie has gone through the same thing for years...and nothing. Yes, but even when I don't, this happens - both "movie" and fanfilm series. Besides, I'd rather people know the truth about where these bloggers are getting the information than read that these rumors as "official" because it's from a "Person who-should-know." Now "TGAH 2008" I'm currently at the conclusion that the project has been stopped. There's been nothing new since Feb. 5 and everything else I've seen about the endeavor is stuff we've known since Day 1 (well, also when Kimmy McKinley was cast as the new Morgan). Plus, brianpadraic, who is apparently one of the writers, has been making some very interesting comments around the Internet, such as some on the DC comics board. :-\ But, I'll try to ignore it. Should be easy given how busy things are getting.

The A-Team movie rumors have nitwits running the gamut with rumors so outlandish it's laughable? I think the reason we're making a big deal about this is because if it turns out NOT to be a movie but a big confusion about you know what... *nudge* *nudge* then someone might get the backlash and possibly ruin it for a legitimate chance of a movie. If a movie is made, it probably won't be the best film ever, but why even ruin a chance of it with this drivel? Hey HD, just for you if a movie DOES come out. I'll try my best to find them locations! Problem is, you would probably have fun with being a "Special Agent, GIS" if you're searching for "The A-Team" locations. Of course then again, it's the Army chasing them. But, I do agree, a "GAH" movie might not be the best film ever, but the current rumors being circulated about are not boding well. This sounds about as bad as the plot for "GAHeroine."

LOL. How is that being a sellout? I was making a joke about looking for locations! ;D Sure you were. I just don't see what the fuss is about. A posting saying that there is a new movie rumor is fine I guess, but why get all up in arms about things that don't matter...especially since it either won't happen or won't happen in a way most fans will like anyway?

Easy - the almighty dollar. If these people read that we don't want a project like this, they'll realize it's a bad idea and wait until a better plot comes around. (BTW, I think they need to look at Mortimer's again - has a better story). Plus, we've had similar things happen with "TGAH 2008." They said it'd be great wonderful, we'd get teasers and such ... and nothing since Feb. 5. Plus, don't know about you, but the July 2008 date for filming the movie and showing this fanfilm series are a bit convenient don't you?

So you are getting upset because of the almighty dollar? That post makes no sense with the statements I made.

How about this attempt. Do you like to see A+ or at least material from your students that looks like they tried to put the effort in? Or do you like to see half-arsed, lack of giving a crap all about it? That is kind of what it boils down to. Bad grades and lack of effort all around. That shows negatively on the teachers and the school not just the student. I'm sure you're a great teacher HD, don't take this as a shot at you personally.

So you are getting upset because of the almighty dollar? That post makes no sense with the statements I made. I will admit I misread/miswrote my response, so to clarify : The reason people get up in arms is to show response to the idea being touted. The producers hopefully will read these because the almighty dollar is involved. If people do not like their idea, they could make a multi-million dollar project and get nothing back from it because people won't watch. They'd want to read the interest in this for that reason - their financial rewards are at stake. It's also why I feel that "TGAH 2008" is probably a wash now - there's no real interest in it that I've seen lately (their community/boards are barren now), so I'm not even sure they're still doing anything with it. They took a gamble and lost.

I would like to see top-notch work, but that is their department. If they do not do it, I pass out the grade they earned and move on. I don't flaunt it before the class as a failure.

It'd be my hope that if/when they do a movie, they remember that it needs to be lighthearted, not totally angsty. And, I'd hope they keep the basic concepts of how Ralph got the suit intact or just slightly tweaked so it stays close to the original idea. Part of the problem is IMHO that the writer might try and go with that the powers end up being downloaded into the person, and if that happens, why bother with the humanity aspect? You've just created another Superhero who doesn't really need to wear their costume. Even Wonder Woman is practially a human if she doesn't have her belt.
