I thought I should be fair and give it another chance, mainly because my 5 year old daughter likes it. Who knows? At five years old, maybe she's pretending she's in the suit! Anyway, I just can't stand Holly. I've also had my fill of precocious little girls in shows.
One great moment in the show was when Bill looks at her bunny-ears mailbox. Hilarious.
I still felt like whacky-smacky when it comes to Holly. I mean, what the heck is she "on"? "I'm never in a bad mood..." Ugh.

I'm sure had TGAHeroine been given the greenlight as a series, the kid would have been involved in the adventures. Bill would have became Grandpa Maxwell, etc. In the last CBS season of Airwolf it appeared a kid would have been added to the show had it been picked up for another year. Thankfully it never happened, the show went on to a new season on the USA Network, but the cast changed. I can see it now if it had continued: Airwolf Cockpit: Dom: String, what about the kid, he has school? Hawke: Aw Dom, we'll take out the missles for Archangel, and still get the kid there on time...Turbo's! Yuch....and I won't even talk about Galactica 1980's Super Scouts...I'd rather swallow my own vomit. But Bill and the bunny-ears mailbox was great....lol his look is about the one I give when this pilot is mentioned.

As much as I dislike GAHeroine, there was one scene that I really loved. It was this exchange between Holly and Bill that is reminiscent of the humour used on the original series: (not verbatim, going from memory) Holly: "No Sarah's an oprhan, I'm her foster parent. Hard to believe someone would just throw a child like her out isn't it?" Bill: "Yeah it's got me stumped". LOL! That was way funnier then any of the dopey slapstick stuff they did with Holly during the rest of the episode. -scenario-

So now I admit to 4 things out of the show I like: The Greenguy scene The goodbye scene The bunny-ear mailbox scene The "got me stumped" scene I refuse to like anything else...lol

You made me burst out laughing with that "got me stumped" line. That was a really priceless one.
When Heroine opens, Bill is talking into a tape recorder. He looks much more gray-haired than in the show. There weren't that many years in between, were there? How soon after the show ended did they make Heroine? (I noticed he said he and Ralph worked together for "5 years" in his monologue, when of course, we know it was less in real time.)

According to GAHeroine's universe, Ralph and Bill continued to have adventures after we left them in 1983. Adventures that we did not see and it all ended in 1986 when Ralph was outed. So starting from 1981 to 1986, would be the 5 years.
Bill was probably like Robert Culp, he dyed his hair during the series, but then in 1986 he figured why bother and just let his natural grey or white hair be shown. Maxwell certainly didn't look as intimidating with the white hair though, he looked like a grandpa FBI agent, whereas on the series he looked like a middle aged agent.

Well, it was kind of...different.
Greenguy...I know exactly what you mean about "Grandpa Maxwell", etc. It just would have been awful.
LOL! A kid on Airwolf!

Forgive me if you are already well-known for this, but I'm new to it, so, tell me, do you write online comics, or are these actual comics in stores? Is it a hobby or something you do for a living?

well i work in retail to pay the bills. my comic, that i write and draw, is a suplimental income. i sell them online. they are black and white comics that are printed just a bit smaller than a tv guide. it features a character i have drawn and written since 1984. his name is MASS. the comic is mass comic digest. i just started on the current run and it is up to issue 4. soon i would like it to be my main source of income. but that takes time.

Wow! That's really great. I mean, taking something you love to do, and developing it into a business. (No jokes-I'm serious) I really admire that. Best of luck to you.

Wow! I just went to your site. You have a lot going on there! The message board for other artists is a great idea. Have you had all of that for four years, or just started getting your stuff online?
I was looking through the sample pages. Really cool. Have you tried animation, at all? I mean, short scenes, even just built like a slide show in GifBuilder? (I'm on a Mac, but I'm sure there is a comparable program for PCs.)
Edited to add: What I mean is, a small slide show, just for your website. The comics are great just as they are!
By the way, I like this, (paraphrased) "The bullets do not puncture the skin, but can still be felt..."

well since i moved my online content shifted since i need to get a scanner. as far as animation. yeah i have had animation/film classes since 5th grade. my old animation teacher in high school is actually an exec in the wb animation dept. i had won alot of student film awards with the academy of motion picture arts and sciences. alot of class mates work fo disney/wb/dreamworks. the new run of mass comic digest is only 2 years old...my online presence with the comic is about 2 years old also. my board was just moved from another location and i am still making adjustments and other things. here is another page with more of my stuff www.angelfire.com/art/jry/cafepress.html

Based on your previous comments about how she filled out the suit..that's exactly what I thought you meant..lol

How awesome would it have been if she wore that mini-skirt suit? I can see Holly answering the door in that mini-skirt suit, asking "Who is it?", and Maxwell responds "Why it's your uncle Bill honey". Ok that may be too much... The series might have actually been picked up just for that reason that there is a scantly clad woman prancing around. Look what Jeri Ryan did for the god awful Star Trek: Voyager series back in the late 90s. -scenario

Well I have to admit, even if the show sucked and had been picked up I still would have watched it. I'm guilty of watching Galactica 1980, The 4th canadian produced season of Airwolf, the Knight Rider 2000 tv movie, and the current less than stellar new version of Battlestar Galactica featuring space costumes that appear to be bought from the Gap.
So a female star of TGAHeroine running around in the mini-skirt version of the suit would have just been an extra bonus. ;D
