That woman is more his speed since she ain't no Pam. Nope, but I do know who it is. Anyway, it would be neat to meet Katt someday. Sometimes I think I have, but more like a passing by. I felt I did that once walking by at a mall and thought I saw Culp, but I didn't. Growing up, Ralph was someone I could "talk" to (I was three at the time the show started). Dad likes telling the story of how Ralph was my invisible friend to people even today. Ralph was, by my best guess, my first crush. I blush when Dad does, but realize it's a part of my childhood. Not many other characters on TV hold that honor. Although he didn't like wearing the suit, as Ralph, Katt had a lasting impression on a lot of people, and in a good way. The show gave kids and adults a chance to escape and look at the world through the eyes of an average person who had the same troubles we did. Katt did a very good job of portraying that. There are not too many actors today who are Katt's age then who could pull off the character. Listening to the commentaries, I felt as though typecasting was a concern for Katt, but in the long run, I think he beat the odds rather well. Only other person I've seen to do this well (TV mind you) is Dean Cain of "Lois and Clark." You look at Mark Hamill, who beat Katt out for the role of Skywalker. Now, he's been in a few movies and such since, but I can't list them off the top of my head save the "Muppet Show" (but as himself and Skywalker) and an episode of "Third Rock from the Sun" (as a bit of a parody of himself if I remember right, and it included a spoof of a scene in "The Empire Strikes Back.") Katt, on the other hand, I remember for a lot of different things and not just "GAH." I've seen him in "Carrie," "Butch and Sundance: The Early Days," and as Paul Drake in the many Perry Mason TV movies they did. I've also seen him guest appear in several TV shows such as "M*A*S*H", "Emergency!," "Diagnosis Murder" (though I think he was the victim, it's been a while), and "7th Heaven" off the top of my head. While some of these were before the time of the series, quite a few aren't. I think it shows the true test of an actor in that while Katt's probably remembered best for Ralph, Tommy Ross and Paul Drake Jr. (maybe Pippin too), he's shown that he can play a variety of characters. That's why he's one of my favorite actors.

Hard to get Pam looking as great as she does if you are using paper cut-outs.

I have to admit, y'all're posting some truly fine pictures of Ralph!
You know, that shot in his ski outfit/the Suit makes me want to re-watch that ep. It's not really a GREAT one, but it's definitely got a lot of good parts in it.
I love how Ralph exults in the freedom to ski as he wants to, letting loose and reveling in the feeling. Kinda like I'm sure he'd like to in flying, if he could only master that technique! I think that's one of my favorite Ralph scenes in the series, really; him actually using the suit for himself, just to have fun. I think I've mentioned it in another thread, but that scene reminds me of John Denver's "Downhill Stuff," one of his (ahem) more "rockin'" songs.
Some people like that downhill stuff, they like it fast and breezy. Some people walk on the other side, they like it slow and easy. Some people run on a mountain trail, some like it wild and rough. Some like to fly, some like to sail, some like the downhill stuff.
(LOL, I'd forgotten the line, "some like to fly"... just not Ralph!)
