I know I am outside the box in my teaching. I think that is one of the few ways Ralph and I are similar. That, and having a little something for the counselor...

That, and having a little something for the counselor... I had a BIG something for the Counselor. I know, I know...take it to the smut board. ' Ralph had too much of a wandering eye. I admit, he did have a wandering eye until "This is the one the suit was meant for." It was the woman who was attacking him, and he didn't want to be kissed by her. After dealing with the Zephyr and such, I think Ralph realized that nothing in the world compares to her.

It was the third season of the show, but they had been together longer than that!

He 98 percent of the time had his focus on Pam, which left 2 percent of the time he wandered and looked at other women.

Did you average that out over the episodes to get that number? I bet it is lower than that where Ralph focuses on Pam.

It's my opinion only.... besides, if HD was in the picture, I think the odds would be Pam would be focused on the character HD 99.9999 infinite percent of the time and Ralph... well, you get the picture. (and yes, I'm just )

I get the impression at the beginning of the series they were kinda-sorta serious, having already mentioned marriage some day, but as you've both mentioned, he did have a wandering eye (he was just a little too fascinated by Starlet Wilde, but I think he was relishing the attention from her more than anything else). But then again, look at Pam, when she introduces him to Charlie in "Classical Gas" as her "friend," not "boyfriend." That kind of ticked me off, unless Pam was doing it on purpose to help the kids along in getting a contract with his new record label/company.

By that time I was under the impression that Pam did it for the kids at Ralph's insistence and she was using Charlie's wandering eye to help her end game there. Plus, as Ralph got more jealous, it might have been fun to turn HIS screws for a change.

Still, Pam could have clarified her use of "friend" to Ralph at some time. Pam really didn't treat Ralph very well in this episode, which was unusual to see, and did seem to push spending time with Charlie to the exclusion of Ralph. Even the kids chastised her for her behavior, and they were right!

They were right because she let it get to her head. I did like the episode though as it shows Ralph what it is like to be on the other side of the jealousy fence.
