oh, i have one...does anyone remember the tv show "Manamal" it wasn't on too long at all, but the main guy could transform into different animals. it was kinda weird but i remember liking it as a kid. yeah Simon MacCorkindale (later on a syndicated early 90's USA action show Counterstrike) and Melody Anderson (Dale Arden from Flash Gordon movie)...it was cool when he turned into a panther... Anyone remeber Automan and Misfits Of Science?

The Star Wars CHristmas Special..I remember that...and Gilligan's Planet
No one mentioned DUngeons and Dragons or the Spiderman& Amazing Friends/Hulk hour
I loved V mini-series, hated the weekly show when they killed off a regular every week or the actors bailed out slowly...what a waste
Star Blazers rocked too
Anyone remember Teen Wolf cartoons? or the short-lived show called OtherWorld?
Someone mentioned Quark earlier..Wasn't that a sitcom on a spaceship that hauled garbage?

Was "Dr. Shrinker" and "Land of the Lost" 70's or 80's? It must've been 70's.
I still love the Dr. Shrinker theme.. "Dr. Shrinker, Dr. Shrinker, he's a madman with an evil mind..."
Ooh, I know this was 70's' but anybody remember "Run, Joe, Run"? The Fugitive starring a German Shepherd - actually, it was a lot like the Hulk, too. Man, I felt for that dog. So misunderstood... *sniff*

Anyone remeber Automan and Misfits Of Science? I remember Automan, but only when they showed it on Sci-Fi I believe (I know that's how I saw Manimal). If I remember right, Desi Arnaz Jr. was the computer genius who created Automan, who becomes a 3D image off the computer because of some freak accident. He has to be uploaded, etc., each time he's used, but he can work alongside Arnaz' character to solve crimes. What I remember most was the car that could go around things with split second timing and the helicopter. Those along with Automan's street (human) clothes would be created by cursor, some sort of quark-type character. I also liked the way the cuffs and collar of Automan's shirts always glowed to show that he was not a human, but an image. It added a nice touch, since for the most part they matched the lights on the car and plane. (I'm probably mixing up some things since it's been a couple of years since I've seen the show, so don't quote me on it, but I think most of it's right).

Not exactly 80s, but close enough in '90 or '91... I'm patiently waiting for "Brisco County Jr" to show up on DVD. I also read an article somewhere that Simon MacCorkindale reprised his role of "Manimal" on a episode of "Nightman" a few years ago... I watched that show but not consistently enough to catch it.

I keep forgetting that I really liked "Brisco County, Jr." ...until someone mentions it. I'd buy it on DVD, definitely. Unfortunately, Derek, you're probably right.

I usually am. All the good stuff takes forever to come out. I am amazed that both GHOSTBUSTERS movies are out together with bonus features.

I wonder why. Maybe they had no good ideas for the villain. After all, the second one DID suck compared to the first in terms of bad guys and such.

Does anyone remember "The Inhumanoids"? it was actually pretty good, but it got cancelled because of a group of disgruntled mothers; they thought it had a dark overtone and thought it was evil, but come on....hello, it's a cartoon people. My brother loved it and i thought it was cool. They even sold huge poseable toys of all the characters

Don't know Inhumanoids...it doesn't list in my book of TV History ('48-'93)... I do remember the Mighty Heroes (it was made in the 60's but I saw it a lot in the 80's)...Ropeman, Chickenman, Strongman, Tornadoman, and Diaperman

What about Wacky Races? I remember the Dasterdly Duo would always try to cheat their way into winning the race, but it always backfired, and Caveman and Son or someone else would win the race.
Also, what about "Speed Racer?" I've just recently seen the series on the Speed Channel (like watching old cartoons), and it was pretty good. Only thing people might recognize with the show right off is the "Geico" commercials where Trixie is talking to Speed from the helocopter. Still, not a bad show for early Anime.
