Yes...mine isn't wild. It's just plain fact. Yours sounds fake. Nope, it happened. It was the same year I fell and injured my shoulder. Though I would say that it is an exaggeration if I say that I injured my shoulder when I went to vote. Of course, if you want real exaggeration, then not only did I have to walk in the snow, ice and cold tempreatures to vote, I was knocked out after slipping and falling, came to, then went over to vote and voted. After putting in my ballot in the box, I fainted into the arms of a dashing young man who carried me to the college medical clinic (same building) and the doctor treated me for a slight bump on the head. After all that, I kissed the dashing young man who took me to dinner at the finest dining establishment on campus - The Burger King. Of course, given the only time I've never been knocked out, the above would be exaggerated.

What I meant was that the only time I've ever been knocked out is being put under anesthesia, never have been by a blow. I forgot to add that part.

To those who are in the warmer weather... I hate you all. We got MAJORLY dumped on today. It was so bad, I got to leave work early so I could get home before the worse of it (I did) & they apparently closed early, too, which hardly ever happens. We got probably 10 inches of the fluffy stuff, but it still took 1+ hour to clean up our driveway & yard. Whiner. We got dumped on three or four times in the last week with snow and ice. And we got a good portion of that crap, too. And I'll whine if I want to. So there.

We're going to be getting 12-20 inches. NYC will be closed down. they usually do after 6. we just got snow 2 days ago like 8 inches and now maybe 20 more? yikes. Well I can do my Avon watch tv write clean. It's not going to be pretty. 3 inches per hour. Sigh.

Well, now they say we're going to get precip si it'll cut down to12 inches but we will get sleet and freexing rain. I don't know which would be the lesser of 2 evils.

My opinion the snow, but that's from falling on a patch of black ice. Here it's been very cold as far as the wind, but fortunately no freezing rain - yet. I'm going to have to get rock salt soon so I can salt my stairs when it does freeze. But, here it seems if there's a paper thin cut of tissue paper of ice on the roads (which will disappear when the sun hits it BTW) they close down all the businesses for the day. :-\

I hate this weather more than anything in the world. I am bundled in 4 layers of clothes. My house is freezing (no freaking storm windows yet. They are in my figging basement waiting to be installed.) And my dogs have to go out for a walk.
I hate this weather more than ANYTHING in the world.
More even than SJC changing the original music on the DVD release. More than GAH being cancelled. More than the fact that Bill is not real. There is NOTHING I hate more.
Ok. Whine over. I'm too cold to whine.

Let me tell you what I think... "This stinks! I hate this!" I am done. I tell you having a Subaru is the greatest thing in the world. I can drive in anything. My first year of doing the papers I drove in 3 feet of snow. Doggie is done and i think I'm going to listen to WK shout my name b4 bed.

Jo,
Do you hate the weather more than She Who Cannot Be Named?
Mona
(Yes, in sunny and cool Arizona, but before you all throw tomatoes, my heater broke yesterady and my house is currently at a FREEZING 58 degrees, so I think that counts for misery!!)

Here it's been sunny but cold. Odd thing is, it's almost 70 at night, though admittedly it's from all the sun being absorbed during the day. Downside, the ensuing fog in the morning seems to then last all day.

In a coupla weeks, I'll be in New Mexico... which means I may have to swing by and kick some Mona butt for that remark.
58 degrees.
Hmph.
And yes, I hate the cold worse than she who cannot be mentioned. I can kick her butt, too...
but not the cold.

I've just learned that it can be cold as freezing here, but I can get away not wearing my coat if not out too long because it's as sunny as all get out. And, I also learned that I need to probably get my battery checked. Had a slight problem turning it over today after we had freezing temperatures overnight.

Don't know about the butt kicking, Jo, but you're welcome to show up ANY time! I'll put on my Greatest American Hero Cape, serve dog bisquits and wine, burgers and fries, and we'll have an all night Bill Maxwell DVDfest. Mona

Apparently, Mona is going to play Ralph...Josie must get to play Bill. And it is so funny that NYC shuts down with a few inches of snow. They get snow every year! You think they could handle it. I hated that living out there.
