Spain overcame great odds and some of the best teams in the world to win. *Shakes head in bewilderment*

I think it's funnier the octopus was perfect in its predictions for World Cup - even if it had a couple of mistakes in it's earlier days.
Wish I had better odds with fused glass - I'm going to have one that broke funny and one that'll look a bit odd.

You know you've had a weird week when you've based a fused glass pendant on the movie "Logan's Run."
Worse... you do it and NOT know you did it until after you fused the pendant. :-\

It's quiet as a church mouse here... where is everyone?

This has been the weirdest summer I've seen in a long time - it'll be sunny and rain, and the whole like.
Been busy in the real world doing things such as helping with VAT drops at the aquatic center and fused glass, but I do think the weather is truly the oddest.

Church mice are not inherently quiet you know.

Church mice are not inherently quiet you know. Well, the one in the small church in the middle of a road in Washington was.

You know you miss your vacation when you go from jacket weather to oven in the span of six hours.
(Then again, you long to go back when the warmest weather there was 20 degrees cooler than your present temperature).

Mel, everyone misses vacation, regardless of the temperature.

True, but to go from 80 degrees to 107 and having a heat alert as soon as you arrive home... yeah, you miss it a whole lot faster. The whole thing made me wonder why the swimming pool here shortened their hours at the same time - they'd make quite a decent amount of money if they had kept the hours the same.

Well, you know you've had a long week and weekend when not only does your car battery go dead immediately after you do your car inspection (though you do pass), you also get to go to a football game that lasts about twice as long as they normally do - and that's just three quarters.
Well, at least the birthday was nice and quiet...

I think these bobbin beads I saw in a magazine are going to be addictive to make... ... even though they can take up to three hours to design. Glad I still have the fused glass so I can take a break sometimes.

It's a good day when you can get a rain photo - and the rain be the end bits of a hurricane, and you can get inside to a dentists the same day so you can get your broken tooth fixed.
Oh, and said broken tooth doesn't hurt, and yet you know it's alive, so that's good.

First time in a long time I'm looking forward to being in the haunted house again... ... so I can yell and vent frustrations (in jumbled jargon only the green guys can understand) and hopefully scare people in the process. Too bad it's probably just Sunday. (haunted house is open for the weekend)

You know you're bored when you have nothing really to say on a messageboard...
well that and you have now about 10 ideas for polymer clay pendants that you want do make in addition to doing a Christmas tree fused glass pendant...
.. and try to think if you really want to do a story from Ralph's POV that uses every single episode title (Including "GAHeroine") used.

I love the fact Mel that you think you have nothing to say on a message board. You type to yourself if no one else is here.

I love the fact Mel that you think you have nothing to say on a message board. You type to yourself if no one else is here. For a long time I WAS the only one who seemed to be posting regularly on this board... ... I became lost on a lonely deserted island with a gavel, a bag of dog biscuits and the instruction book... still written in it's original form. And sadly on TV? - "The Greatest American HeroINE."

If I didn't need any more incentive to go back to fused glass for a while - I made a really cool necklace today in polymer clay, and was trying a new technique - a variation on mica shift... ... Well, it turned out nice, but I was in such a rush to get it out, part of the towel hit the hot metal and singed it. No fire, nothing burned, but now my poor towel smells like rendering lard into tallow - kinda like slightly burned bacon.
