Kick-ass Cannell-written scripts like "Where is the Monster When You Need Him?" (and "Road to Hope" and "Mind Games") are part of what makes season four my favorite and, I think, help set the tone for the other writers.

You know, I really have to hand it to Cannell and company. They took the fourth season and practically made the show seem newer and fresher than the first season!

Yep, and I'm one of the youngest who actually saw the show in its first run (2 in March 1981. Didn't turn 3 until August 1981.) I'm not testing the word mods because I already know it'll change things at the worst opportunity. Teaspoon had even been modded on the Pam board (temporarily) to teathingy. and don't get me started on people's names. MelMac, hun, we are talking about the A-Team here...it was not on in 1981. I know that HD, I'm not that blonde. I was referring to the comments about GAH. (Or so I thought ). We didn't watch A-Team much, but we did watch it. If we didn't, I wouldn't have gotten a "Mr. T and Friends" maze book. Even brought it my very first solo flight on an airplane.

I think everyone stepped it up a notch because SJ was more involved. He was around in the other seasons, but only Lupo made consistent episodes of A-Team quality besides SJC. It was a great season. Too bad it didn't spill over into the fifth season.

Here's another question.
Does Murdock have a real name? If it's just "H.M." what does that stand for?

H.M. are his real initials. But they never established what they really stood for (as opposed to B.A, who is really Bosco A. Baracus).

Too bad it didn't spill over into the fifth season. Says you. I think there were elements of it, but the character of Frankie ruined the fifth season...you don't agree?

My husband told me today, as I was showing him some of these posts, that when he was in H.S. his nickname was "Howling Mad"...
I guess I made the right choice...
