I wish they would make comics of the series first personally. I would love to see that done and this way more time could be spent developing new stories. True... guess we'll figure out which one's coming first Thursday.

All he is doing in his blogging posts is making links to the newsarama site, which lets people have another avenue to the story. He hasn't - at least from what I've read - added or changed anything from that press release, maybe given his POV on the event. It's nice too that he comments on many issues, since producers/writers/artists/etc. can be very busy. Plus, it shows he cares about getting people interested in the project - and shows he does have a fondness for the show (even if he didn't the jammies at one time). Do have to say some of the sillier (slightly crasser) comments are also fun to read, but it does show he's serious in his endeavor to get the comic series and such done.

I always read them I just choose to post in the forum after I spread the good word. But I always read. He's doing a lot of work and he keeps us informed which I think is great! The man can deliver!

Uh, okay, but anyone reading Sparks? Mona I have it. My comic guy puts it aside for me! I know what he's going to be putting aside for me this fall...

Uh, okay, but anyone reading Sparks? Mona The problem is, he posts both about the "GAH" comic as well as "Sparks" there. This case, there was confusion as to which you meant. Given this thread is about "GAH" returning, most assumed said endeavor - not "Sparks." That said, I haven't read "Sparks" yet, as I don't have access to the comic book. Hopefully, I'll be able to purchase one soon, but what I've seen as the teaser pages online it reads quite well for a noir and I'd get the whole book.

Starring: Bruce Campbell as Bill Maxwell. And that's all I got to say 'bout that.

I still think Richard Dean Anderson would be better.

Comics? Can't wait! Animated web series?! YES!! Live-action reboot, with a new Ralph, Bill, & Pam? ... Umm... ... maybe I can be bribed with a cameo...Hey, do you think they'll switch Ralph and Bill's names around, like they did with "I Spy '02"?

Only thing that gets me is that everyone automatically says the movie would be recast with three new actors in the roles. What's not to say that the three will appear in it as their characters? ... ... I'll admit wishful thinking given it's quite a few years later, but I'd rather wait and see there first.

It's unlikely that they will be back as their original characters, Mel, especially since SJC made it sound like they were making the movie based on the original series with the names of the original characters. While they might be offered small roles, I doubt they will be starring as the originals.

Which is why I said "Wishful thinking" More than likely they wouldn't be the three in the movie I agree, and I'd hope they'd have a role of some sorts in it.

I don't know if I would. I like the fact that the A-TEAM original cast (that are still living) are not going to do cameos last I heard. It was in protest of the script since it was not true to the original series and since people fell in love with the original characters. They would happily star as themselves if the new characters were not modern copies. I would hope the GAH team has similar standards.

We might have an inkling of that when they have the panel Thursday. Words and inflections of said words usually can tell a great deal about the scenario at hand. And, I can see given that they're going to darken "A-Team" apparently like "Miami Vice" I'd understand Mr. T, Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict would refrain from being a part of it. Doesn't need to be dark, it can be campy and still deal with some of the scenarios (though admittedly, maybe the cabbages shooting out of the cannon is a bit too silly. )

GAH could be darker too and more based on audience "wow" than character interaction. SJC seems fine with the updating of the original series, but I hope he does not get carried away. And Mel, they are actors. They can probably hold their inflection.

I guessed that they'd update it slightly, but I'm hoping like most of us it doesn't turn into a farce like some of the other TV shows turned into movies. It's risky with this one, so it's going to take a keen eye to make sure it stays closer to true "GAH" and not "Ralph vs. the evil Greenguys/villainous teacher."

The way I've been reading it is that SJC will be involved in it, unless I'm wrong. That's always good when it comes to movie versions of tv shows.

Not necessarily, Claye. He is involved with the A-TEAM movie that is forthcoming...and it is nothing like the original from the sound of it.

Not necessarily, Claye. He is involved with the A-TEAM movie that is forthcoming...and it is nothing like the original from the sound of it. While I can understand the risks involved with this, maybe he felt that "The A-Team" needed more tinkering over "GAH" based on DVD sales. Personally, I'm like you and they need to try and keep the turn to big screen as close to the original as the TV episodes. So, who knows anymore? At least we're getting news that it's official - "The Greatest American Hero" is doing a comic book.
