What responsibility do I need to take? As I wrote already, as a favor for HD, I sent the email just wanting to discuss the comic book. I didn't start the havoc, but I also am not adverse to standing up for myself. If that makes me unpleasant, so be it, although I don't believe my emails writing HD to buy the comic book, which I thought was good, and support TGAH franchise were unpleasant. But, let's not notice all the emails I sent which were NOT unpleasant and simply label me "unpleasant". Sure. Funny that Miss Davidson didn't say anyone ELSE was unpleasant, just me.
I have no desire to drag this out. This whole affair was unnecessary. How about someone comment on the comic book, and discuss it as it has the capacity to be discussed? That was the point and the only point to my email.

Thanks Mona for the kind words... and as much as I appreciate the thoughts and the words, everyone should know I don't think that all the members are chasing me away...
Honestly, most people here are super duper, and are the reason why I keep coming back, even though some things drive me nuts time after time.
I agree that a Culp vs Katt rivalry is ridiculous. You know, I wish that we could say that is the source of this issue, because then we could deal with it on those terms!
Sadly, it is not the problem here. This is not the first time that there have been conflicts or flare ups.
The issue of spoilers is simply a trigger, not the cause.

DOLFYN: I've tried to get that same point across, to no avail. The leads (I won't put their names down; if I put one name in front of another, I could be accused of favoritism). . .The three lead actors of the show worked as a team, as their characters and as actors. They wouldn't want us fighting. But. . . You're absolutely right. Thanks Miss D, & you're right about all 3 leads being wonderful, & I completely agree. Connie is fantastic as Pam & is a positive female role-model, which is pretty rare for the time the show was made. I just didn't include Connie/Pam fans in my point because there doesn't seem to be any rivalry involving those fans; which is very sensible of them! You know, I joined this board a while back because I loved "The Greatest American Hero", and wanted to talk to others who loved the show just as much as I did. But this board has turned into a mine-field. The fighting is ruining all the good stuff about the show. Thank you, dolfyn and MissDavidson. This whole argument is ridiculous. Thanks, Lauren. And again, I agree that this whole thing has become a nasty & unnecessary mess. We're all fans of the same show, so let's share our enjoyment. More importantly, we're all adults, so we should all behave accordingly! If there's a difference of opinion in any situation, it should be able to be worked out (even if it's agreeing to disagree) without it becoming a personal attack aired in public. On other boards, that's called "flaming" & is extremely frowned upon. I'll state clearly again that I'm not taking sides; I like everyone on this forum, I'm a fan of all 3 leads, & have no personal agenda other than wishing to discuss a show I love (& its related projects) with other keen fans. I know it's not a perfect world, but can't everyone at least try to keep things pleasant?! Feel the love (please, everyone!). dolfyn.

Well, all families fight. and for a while we have been a GAH family. But we can get past it. My friend and I have been friends for 25+years and we've only had 3 major blowups. One was just 2 weeks ago. But being stubborn and bull headed as we are, we worked it out. and it was a biggie. We all have differences and similarities, (wow I can't believe I spelled that right on the first try). Anyway, I suggest we move on. As far as this situation goes, If there is a cut to or spoiler tag or another thread just for spoilers, then let's use it. I like my GAH family. I want the fun to prevail again. We all have one big thing in common. Our love for the show and ALL the actors. Yes we all have our preferences but I think we can agree that no other actors fit the bill as well as they did. I don't think anyone could. Now, I'm off to bed. So, play nice kids. =silly

Mona, I want to apologize for my outburst, and for calling you unpleasant.
It seems that there are matters that I do not have all the facts on. I apologize.
And from this, we move on.

[glow=red,2,300] SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read the comic, please do not read the following post![/glow] You know what line made me cheer when I saw they included it, right? "If you're looking for trouble, you've just come across the west coast distributor." Seriously. I scanned that frame and put it on my desktop. See? ;D

I think Lauren meant the dance of joy off PERFECT STRANGERS....not the Ray Charles waltz.

I have created an area just for discussion of the comic book series, and this topic will be locked. Anyone who wishes to talk about plot details, please just stick in a [glow=red,2,300]SPOILER WARNING[/glow] notice. This works in several other forums I'm a part and I see no reason why it shouldn't work here. That eliminates the need for additional codes, etc. I for one am not bothered by any details posted, of course I'm a person that doesn't care if you tell me the end of a movie I haven't seen either. While that works for me I understand a great many people are not like me, and would rather not know various details in advance. If you are one of those people please avoid topics that contain the [glow=red,2,300]SPOILER WARNING[/glow] or stay out of the comic book section altogether. We cannot realistically put some sort of time period on which we are not allowed to discuss story details, so it will be up to the individual to choose on what he or she wants to read, and when to read it. I appreciate the contributions of everyone here, thats what keeps the forum alive and kicking. I have a feeling 2009 is going to be a good year for new happenings and some surprises in the world of TGAH. I wouldn't want anyone to miss out.
