I think "Oh, my!" sums it up well.
MrsM, I've got a laptop with a DVD player and a CD burner. How in da hell do I get screencaps?? Please, I implore thee, I'm DESPERATE, if even for that final scene... then of course RC in B&C&T&A (as long as the sound's off, man, that movie blows chunks!)
Oh, and another thing.... seeing that fine young thing and that fine gentleman holding up the brew, both wearing blue... DAYUM, but he looks good in that color, doesn't he??

Ya know, I had some problems with screen caps too. I would hit CTRL+PRINT SCREEN then paste into Paint. The problem was, when I went to edit the pic...it kept moving around! I don't know what happened except I started using the DVD viewing program (Cyberlink PowerDVD) that came with the internal DVD burner I bought. From there it was free and clear. The only thing I can sugggest is check out cnet.com. Under "downloads" do a search for "screen caps" or picture caps. You might be able to find something. And yes, RC looks great in blue...actually, anything!

I did a google on "screen captures" and DVD, and got info on VideoLAN, a free program that should allow screencaps it said. Another article says it has to do with hardware acceleration (to lower it). So I'll try those later today, after sis leaves (it's on her puter). Keeping my fingers crossed!
"And yes, RC looks great in blue...actually, anything!"
Well, I dunno, until I saw him in that garish jacket in "Don't Mess Around with Jim" yesterday, I would've agreed, lol. And the bolo tie? Uh... yeah.
Sure looks good in a towel!

You know, MrsM, I keep gazing at that pic you used for your avatar, lol... heck, even got it TILED on my desktop, so I can see it more, and I think hands-down, it is the FINEST pic of Bill on the 'net. Granted these two are incredibly good too (OK, there're way more incredibly good ones out there, but I can't post 'em ALL here): But this one? It wins. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm sure I've asked you this before, but I'd asked about the sources of other pics too (esp puffy-shirt) but which ep is this from? LOL, I love that shot of Ralph in the background of the middle pic. He looks either stoned or three sheets to the wind, I dunno which. I've taken some caps where Ralph DOES look stoned, and opted not to use them. Guess that's what he gets for looking like Bill's beachbum buddy!

(I was trying to think of something clever to say, but I'm speechless... utterly speechless.... all I wanna do is spend my day gazing at this reclining god.) I'll have the info on my LJ on how to do it. It was a long and rather anfractuous battle, but I DID it, huzzah!! More "I Spy' episode caps coming soon, and some from Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice too (man, those love beads Robert's wearing are Groovy with a capital "G.") Modified post: Well, got those B&C&T&A pics up on my photobucket, and five icons in my LJ. I had a rather dismaying discovery: for some reason sister's DVD drive will read disc two of the RC collection, but not disc one I was hoping to get some shots from "The Tiger" when Kelly looks so darned good in that flightsuit. Heavy sigh.

You can find my Kelly Robinson pics from "Magic Mirror," written by Robert Culp, here: photobucket.com/albums/b237/stanford9/i_spy/MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR "I Spy" "Magic Mirror," written by Robert Culp! A little explanation on the sequence of photos. Anger01 through 04 (row 1): In this scene, without even saying a word, Robert exhibits the greatest anger I've ever seen him do. His boss, Gabe, is telling him to walk all over his love, Sam Phan McLean, to get to the General (Ricardo Montalban) to see what he's up to. Gabe scathingly calls Kelly "Lover!", kinda drawing it out. Oh man, if looks could kill! eyes01 through 04 (row 2): It was these shots that I noticed his eyes looked very green. I can't tell on my puter, but maybe you can. film01 through 05 (row3, 1st one in 4): This is when they're watching a film of Sam and Kelly meeting up in a park, something they're apparently not supposed to be doing. Scotty had planted a mic into Kelly's pocket, so they've got film and sound. All thru this, Robert's character is shaking like a leaf and he's nervously smoking his cigarette. You can tell he's VERY upset at what he's seeing, esp when he learns Scotty planted the mic on him. (Skipping a little, to Kelly and Sam kissing): 01 through 03. I LOVE the line she says in 03: Your smile is so beautiful! (Oh yeah....) She and Robert Culp were married when this was filmed, so it feels almost voyeuristic, to me at least. Kinda like Taylor and Burton, lol! Locker room (five pics): Oh yeah... Robert walks in front of Cos at the beginning of this, in only a towel. He stands behind Cos and throws his towel off, and puts on some sweatpants. Whew. The fifth shot, Kelly examines himself in the mirror and says, "Looks good to me." I'm not sure why, cuz it had nothing to do with their conversation. The Phone Call (13 pics). Oh my, I was SCARED when watching this scene. Robert does creepy, freaky and downright scary extraordinarily well. In this shot, if you'll notice, Sam Phan McLean is on the phone in the background, and Kelly's talking to her. He's basically reaming her for what she did with the General (he saw a film of her meeting up with him only 3 days after Kelly and Sam had met and kissed in the same park). He tells her if she gets in his and Scotty's way, if she so much as LOOKS at them wrong (indicating she knows them), he'd kill her... he'd rip her out at the seams... Man, it was CREEPY, the way he's whispering everything he was going to do to her. The steam room (13 pics): this was the final scene of the episode. If you'll notice the next-to-the-last three pics, you'll see Robert's eyes fill up with tears. In the scene, he's learned Sam is now persona non-grata far as the USA is concerned, and she's lost her citizenship, and can never return to the States. Scotty tells him, You can lie to me, but don't lie to yourself. She was the rightest woman you'll ever find. Tux (four pics): Just general great-looking pics of Robert.

Well, just so I don't inundate this thread with things involving Culp, not Bill, if y'all go to my photobucket, you can find either Kelly Robinson pics in the "I Spy" subalbum (see link above) or go to "bobandcarol" for pics of him as Bob (appropriately enough). Horrid movie, but some great shots. Some are rather surprising. Heh. And I ain't tellin' how May NOT be safe to open at work, I'll warn you now (no full nudity, if that's a concern.... just very... revealing.) photobucket.com/albums/b237/stanford9/bobandcarol/

To quote Bugs Bunny: OOOOH, I'm DYING again! I'll console myself with this glorious picture of Robert, when he was 36 years old: Lawsey. Now I need the smelling salts, hand 'em here, MrsM.

Yeah, I like that too, TG, esp the expression he gets on his face when he tosses it. That is probably the only thing I remember when "I Spy" was first out, this dude lighting his smoke and then the bomb then throwing it at the camera (or so I thought, as a little girl.) Never realized I'd become so enamored of all things Culp back then, but I understand my mom had a bit of a crush on him, lol. Smart lady! (On the other hand, we all knew dad had quite a thing for Barbara Eden, lol!) When I asked sis if Mom & Dad watched "I Spy," she laughed and said RELIGIOUSLY! There's some new "I Spy" stuff over on the Robert Culp livejournal community if y'all wanna go see and read it, including a big write-up about the extensive commentary on disc 2 of the RC collection: www.livejournal.com/community/robert_culp/3991.htmlI left out the "insignificant" comment he'd made about GAH, choosing to believe he meant as far as make-up was concerned (that's what he'd been discussing for quite some time in this portion of the commentary.) Going on as usual, on a tangent, and my apologies, as usual

While watching "The Hand-painted Thai," I realized it shows Bill's rank on his 72nd Armored Division jacket! After many screencaps and magnifications, I've established what it was: He was an E-8 Master Sergeant (MSG): Principal NCO at the battalion level, and often higher. Not charged with all the leadership responsibilities of a 1SG, but expected to dispatch leadership and other duties with the same professionalism. Now, he may've earned this rank AFTER he got shot in Korea. I'm going to go with him being a Sergeant First Class, one rank down, because it fits in with what I said earlier, about him being Winslow's right-hand man. This is what it says about SFC: " Key assistant and advisor to the platoon leader." Maybe I'll have him get a promotion at my story finale, I don't know yet. (Edit: I should've added, I got this information from the US Army's website.)

Doing research for my Lilacs series, I went back to Culp's commentary for the first thing he'd ever written AND directed, "Court of the Lion," because he mentions this dude that's to deliver some nasty karate chops on Kelly. Culp said this guy was the only one he trusted to do it, for real, and not seriously hurt him, and make it look authentic. Any way, he describes this guy as his friend, teacher, guru and a karate Master. Yes, Culp really knows karate. Those stances and moves Bill does in "Classical Gas" are real, apparently. Maybe he does it in other eps? Not sure. I had to find out for sure, because Bill's going to put some moves on "David," the guy in "Lilacs..." that orchestrates the beach scene with the surfer dudes. I tried finding more about this guy, but all it lists for his name is "David." The one who O'Neil says is Bill, only on the other side... and of course Bill asks him if he too has a 98% kill rate (okay, I don't know the convo verbatim, so kill me.)

One thing I love about Bill is how outwardly, he grumbles and gripes about critters, but have you noticed how he loves them any way? Then there's Lefty the cat in "Now You See It," when he's griping about him the whole show, yet when they're out in the desert talking, Bill's got the doors open and he's fanning the cat so he won't get overheated. And look how long he keeps Lefty, till he finally goes to Pam and Ralph to return him. I can't cite the one with the stallion, in what, "Desperado"? Haven't seen it yet, but I imagine it's similar. Anyone got other examples of Bill and animals?

DESPERADO is a great one. Cool, thanks for that tip. I've been wondering which eps to focus on getting next. I've been trying to get: Heaven is in your Genes Vanity... Newlywed Game Reseda Rose (all I need to complete Season One) I'll add "Desperado" to the "must-have" list then! Also trying for others, of course, but given a choice I try to start with those first. I got eight eps within just three days a while back, which was awesome, although on the most part they were all fairly mediocre (with a few exceptions that had great scenes, like "Lost Diablo" and "Chicken in every plot".)

I like the LOST DIABLO one. Good episode. I love HOG WILD too if you don't have it. Which ones are you missing? It is easier to tell you good ones, from my perspective anyway, if I know which ones you are lacking.

I was surprised by the way Lost Diablo ended. Back in the 80's, I would have thought the writers would have Ralph save the bad guys in the mine. These days, I can see them letting them die. (I hope I have the right episode. LOL!)

You do have it. The thing is that I think he could only save one. After the gun went off in the cave, TWO tunnels collapsed and I don't think he had time to do both since they were too far apart. I think that they should have had Ralph try and vibe for them though in case they did make it.
