Someday...does that mean never? Seeing as you're the only one to have taken it, I was going to give it a little bit longer, like at least a week.

I took the test this evening (morning), and I scored 86 percent. Not bad for someone who's more of a "Hinkley Homie" Look forward to reading the answers.

You are going to cause billswoman to have a cardiac arrest, you know.

LOL, I check at least twice a day for "Robert Culp" entertainment memorabilia. Yeah, I love that one! No, what's going to give me a cardiac arrest is when I (someday) watch "A Name For Evil," something i haven't QUITE been able to bring myself to do yet! Got it sitting on my dresser right now, already checked that it'll work in sister's laptop DVD player

How was it...or are you still hiding from it?

I told sis I hadn't been able to watch THAT scene yet, and she laughed and said, Wait'll you see what you're getting for Christmas! All she'd do is imply it involves Robert Culp and I'm going to freak. Maybe Robert Culp himself??

I don't know if that would be a good idea...do you have the necessary health insurance?

HD, I dont' recall the thread I mentioned transcribing Culp's commentary on disc one, so I checked in here, being all about Bill. I think you're right about my NOT posting the commentary to the 'net. Nobody's done it yet, why should I ruin it? I'm still going to transcribe it, though, cuz he gives lots of great insight into the character (of course), but I'm going to keep it just for myself. I'll probably do a synopsis of the commentary, like I did with a very small portion of the commentary he does in "The Robert Culp Collection," (I say very small portion cuz there're HOURS of commentary on those discs!) and post it to the RC livejournal community, not do it verbatim as I'd planned. Now my next step is to try to snag sister's laptop long enough to get some awesome screencaps, now that I've got the entire series! Having all the eps to work with now, assuming the discs work in her machine, I'll have to be very selective on what I post to my photobucket, or I'll have to cull the images again, and we all know what happened the last time THAT happened! On a little sidenote, for MrsMaxwell and my other fellow Culp fans: there're some shots from an I Spy ep that'll KILL YOU, cuz I know I almost died... OMG is all I can say, whoo! I've NEVER seen Culp like THIS before! I think these will even beat the lovely steam room pics I got from "Magic Mirror!" OK, maybe not. But on the same par.

So I can read and re-read what he said, to let it inspire me when I'm writing stories. Easier to have a piece of paper there instead of having to hook up my DVD player and find the disc, no?

Oh man, those are GREAT MrsM, thanks! I've been off the puter since early November 9th and going through the DT's for my man Maxwell (note that says MY MAN!)
I love them both (of course) but esp. the hug one!
I loaned my GAH DVDs and player to the sis who's babysitting my ferret, so I can't even pop in some I Spy DVDs right now and get my Culp fix. Gimme Culp!

I may have mentioned this elsewhere, but there's also another way: VideoLAN, which is free (not "free to try") on zdnet.com. It's got a screencap feature (it calls it a snapshot). That's what I've been using on sister's laptop DVD player.
I'll be sure to scope out what you've got so far, thanks!!

Not Robert Culp or Kelly Robinson; this time it was Bill Maxwell. I'm just now awakened from it, so bear with me if I sound rather incoherent; I want to jot this down while it's fresh in my memory.
(Oh, and it's G-rated too... darn it.)
I'm sitting at a big round dining table with Bill kind of a third of the way around it from me. It's like a banquet or something, so there're a lot of people milling about. Ralph and Pam aren't at the table, but I get the impression they were nearby, talking with other guests.
A short, petite platinum-blonde woman, about Bill's age, comes to sit down next to him, and she looks rather downcast. He asks her what's wrong, and she sighs and pretty much tells him she's tired of it all and wants to get out of the city and out of the rat-race.
He's sympathizing with her and trying to think of a reply, and she says, "Maybe I should just contact INS and tell them I'm here, and have them deport me back home."
(I get the impression, from her fair skin and blonde hair, that's she's northern Euro, but she speaks with no accent, so Bill and I are both surprised she's not even American.)
He does that kind of "Well..." move, like in "Divorce...", and she says, "I wish I could just go back to Virginia, actually. That's where I lived for a long time with my husband before he died, and I came to L.A."
(Hmmm, would she be deported if she'd married an American, who then died? Maybe not, because then Bill suggests....)
Bill asks, seemingly out of the blue, Do you like to fish?
She laughs (I don't know her name) and says she was born and raised in a fishing village, she knows all there is to know about fishing. (And we know Bill would LOVE that, don't we, the way he loves to fish!)
He says, Well I was asking because maybe you can do what I've been thinking about doing for a while now.
She asks, What's that?
Bill says, Why don't you go to Virginia, get yourself a nice, decent, not-too-big fishing boat, and start using it to take kids out on day excursions. Nothing fancy or anything. I was thinking that myself, maybe when I retire. One kid at a time, so you'd have real one-on-one time with the kid, boy or girl, doesn't matter. Inner-city kids, kids that don't normally get a chance to get back to Nature like country kids can. Give 'em a day to themselves, no parents, no teachers, just them and the water and sun and sky.
(Okay, I embellished this a wee bit, but not much.... then I woke up, darn it.)
I remember, during this conversation, how surprised I was that Bill would think of something this kind and compassionate, the way he (usually) is with Ralph's kids. Makes me think of that little snippet of conversation between Bill and Ralph about Tony, when Bill admits Tony's not a BAD bad kid, he just needs some guidance, "Maybe two weeks in boot camp" or something like that.
So there's my first Bill dream. Perhaps it can be used for the next story-building thread, I don't know. Just a thought. Has good potential I think.
Warning: this post done without caffeine. Please to forgive.

LOL actually, I think that's the first G-rated dream I've had with Robert/Bill/Kelly wink wink That's right, I'm bad. So's Robert in my dreams, whoot!! Darn, where's that dream journal again? Modified post: You know, after writing that, I finally decided I was going to go watch The Scene in "A Name for Evil." I went to the menu, got distracted by "Extras" and saw there's a Robert Culp bio. Well, sort of. The thing was wrong; it said in 1963 he made his film debut in the satirical Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice. Of course, we Culp fans know it was "PT 109," and that he did B&C&T&A in 1969. Any way, I then went to the Photo Gallery, but not being sure what I was going to see (like Culp naked), I got out of there quickly. I went to the chapter, "Jungle Orgy," clicked on it... he's riding the "horse" I'd read about, and what do I do? I chicken out and turn it off. Maybe I'll have to alter a few braincells before I can finally watch that scene. Okay, it's not Bill, it's Culp. Get over it. (Oh, I don't mean anything kinky about "horse" above, and I cant' explain what it means... it'd ruin the movie; that is, if anyone here plans on WATCHING the movie. Oh, never mind.)

Okay, "I Spy" was out from 1965-1967, and of course GAH was out from 1981-1983. The man was born August, 1930, so you all can do the math on how he "aged" between the two shows. Amazing, isn't it?
