Bill and Wonder Woman!!! Instant Classic!!! Funny. How about Captain Marvel and Ralph paired up, then Isis also makes an appearance. Ralph can laugh at Marvel's outfit, and realize that his is actually pretty cool. Pam might be jealous of Isis, but don't know. (and I'm j/k ) Right now, the story idea I have is more along the normal story lines (such as not time travel, the wild west or rogue green guys again.) Though it was fun to write the first one, I think this next one would be closer to the original premise of the show. If you'd like to hear it, I can PM you with the story idea.

Bill and Wonder Woman!!! Instant Classic!!! LOL, I realized when I saw the replies that I should've clarified, from GAH, not crossovers. It's something silverhammer and I had been communicating about, other possible pairings involving Bill.

Oh dear, I was joking with MrsM about her comment, originally thinking it was about the Interactive story thread idea I had. I caught that as a joke and responded the way I did, but now I think I was misunderstanding you too. Still, her idea might work as a potential crossover, though a bit AU given the character. ;D

I think one New Years Resolution is going to be: Go one year without writing a crossover. It's funny: I love to write them, but I don't usually read them, unless I'm positive they'll "work" in believability and characterization. And, of course, I have to really like the two fandoms being crossed. (Read a couple of Star Trek/SG-1 crosses that were quite good, one the original Trek and the other Voyager.)

I'll have to read them. I'm not a huge fan of "SG-1" (can't watch it much is why), but know enough about it and the Trek franchise to understand the crossover. I think one of my favorite crossovers in the GAH universe (ones I've read) is the GAH/Dukes of Hazzard one in the fanfiction.net site. You can actually hear all the characters when you read the story. And, they're true to character, unlike the movie version of "Dukes of Hazzard." (then again, this was written before the movie, but still). I also liked the one that crossed over with "I Spy" I think you did where Ralph is the only one who seems to make the connection that Kelly and Bill look alike. In my case, I still plan on trying a crossover with either "Emergency!" or "Doctor Who" (later of which is still in planning stages), but I'm trying to see what's going to happen with the second game thread before I start writing. If it's going to wait until the New Year, I'm going to work on it now, if earlier, I'm going to hold off.

I've never seen Dukes of Hazzard, so I didn't read that one.
No, that particular I Spy cross isn't mine; it's a goodie though. I read it when I BARELY knew anything about I Spy and enjoyed it. NOw that I know the show better, I should re-read it.
My little "cross" (or is it? Heh.) is "The Life," a drabble.

I think one New Years Resolution is going to be: Go one year without writing a crossover. Yeah, as I was telling billswoman off-forum yesterday, I was getting so desperate to come up with another suitable partner for Bill, I was considering cross-overs. There's a depressing lack of good candidates from the GAH stable of fillies for our favorite cowboy (and I'll stop the metaphor right there ) However, Louise (hereafter, known as "The Muse") has once again provided the guiding light in her review. She made a suggestion that really got the gears turning in my head. The new story isn't exactly what she suggested, but her idea kicked it lose - and I think it's a rootin' tootin' hottie. I wrote the detailed outline yesterday and here are a few teasers: I think you guys are gonna dig this puppy. Although... that Wonder Woman thing is a rip snorter, too.... hmm....

I still chuckle when I read that. One reviewer asked me to expand on it, but it's silly and of course not part of any GAH universe I write, just a little "what if?" I wonder what Robert Culp would think of it, lol! As for Baja, boat and bare feet... is this the one you were refering to in the PM to me? So, is it going on over to the adultfanfiction.net site? Or is it "only" going to be M-rated?

Oh, so you were talking about pairing up Bill with other GAH charachers, right? My misunderstanding. There were two I can think of, although the actresses that portrayed these characters lacked chemistry (IMO).
1. The hippie chick from "It's All Downhill". I think the opposites attract thing could have worked quite nicely.
2. The lawyer friend of Pam's from "30 Seconds". She was kinda blah, but the Bill meets his match thing would have worked nicely too. If it were a female cop or a CIA agent who was one up on him inevery department, that would have made for some great dialog!

You and billswoman are so on the same wavelength - I think you could finish each other's sentences if this was a chat forum! You interpreted correctly - I had been thinking of a non-GAH character cross-over (nothing as good as Wonder Woman - that's an idea that must be made real!) because I couldn't come up with any satisfactory candidates from within the show. I agree about the lack of chemistry - I honestly can't figure out why Dottie was in that episode at all. It seems to me that whole episode must have been written on the set - it's just utter doo-doo. But that's a thought for the "I Hate 'Little Tokyo'" thread. Fortunately for my purient interest in Bill's feet, Louise gave me a clue on how I could carry on after Volcada. [continued in next post ]

LOL! I don't think I could finish it if it weren't plot-heavy so there should be lots of chapters to fit within FF.net's T-Rating. I think folks who don't care for smut will enjoy the main story - it's got all the fun bits: lots of verbal sparring between our oh-so verbal couple, Pam gets to use her new gun, Bill gets hurt (poor Bill!), there's a lot of comedy, and there's even a supporting role for a 2nd season character. The problem is, there're going to be large number of excerpts that are M-Rated. I'm afraid people will lose the thread if they have to close one story and open the other several times. I'd post 2 versions, but you're not supposed to do that. I'm thinking about providing 'tool tips' advising people who want to read the smut in-line to have 2 browser windows open. Any advice is welcome!

Do like I do: put a warning at the beginning of the chapter, telling people, Hey, this one's M-rated. It's pretty much PWP, so if that bothers you, skip ahead to Chapter (whatever). I've never had a single complaint from readers or fanfic.net. You could ALWAYS put it on adultfanfiction.net, you know; M or MA (R or NC-17) are both fine there. Keep one at a T-rating for those with certain sensitivities, then put the more mature one on AFF.net. The first time I posted to AFF.net, I'd been writing a MASH story that I"d intended to keep at an M-rating, but damn if my fingers got away from me. I was tired of limiting myself, making sure it didn't get TOO graphic, and thought, WTF, I'm going for the gusto, and wrote it how *I* wanted it. After chapter three, I put a note up that said, You wanna read the rest, go over here. My MASH buddies went to AFF.net, and LOVED the story! Then I went kinda ape, and posted three completed stories: MASH, Greatest American Hero, Stargate SG-1 and (believe it or not) I Dream of Jeannie (that one's R-rated). I had some others, for DS9, but I haven't been able to complete them (yet) so I pulled them, although I got great reviews when they were up. I'm blathering, don't mind me. Any way, the main page of AFF.net is www.adultfanfiction.net/ if you wanna sign up as an author. I'm the only one with a GAH story, so far, so c'mon, we need more! And MrsMaxwell, I'll be reposting the MA-rated "To the Wild Country" sometime very very soon. I actually had some written; I was going to do something new & different (for me at least). I was going to cap it with not one but TWO points-of-view: one from Bill, writing in a journal, and one of Pam writing in a journal. We all saw in "Heaven is in your genes" that Bill keeps a journal, so he was going to write it from his POV. I say "was" cuz I'm not entirely sure yet if I want to do that. A beta reader would be most welcomed, if either you or silverhammer want to see what I've got so far. It's a rough draft, so don't kill the messenger. I'm done, for now. (Oops, I lied, I wasn't done... silverhammer, you don't need to tell folks to search on M rated and such... simply tell them to go to your author's profile; that's how I've been going to the Volcada chapter 7 each time I've read it -- I think about five times now, wh00t! )

The journal thing sounds like a GREAT idea! Do you have stuff you are working on as WIP somewhere?

You know - Chapter 7 may get an update soon - I'm going to need some threads to link into "Raphael's Mermaid" - the new one. I thought about just sending people to my Author page, but I was hoping some new readers might happen across the other offerings on the main page. Incidentally, I subscribe to this really fun newsletter of odd links ("Linky and Dinky") and they posted a link to the TV section of FF.net on Monday. Since GAH is near the top of the page, you may have noticed a sudden bump in hits over the last couple of days - I've gotten a slew since mine happens to be at the top of the list due to date (no new reviews, but that's okay). (btw, if i didn't say it elsewhere, count me in as a beta!)

Well, silverhammer's working away on her lovely stories and series, and so am I. I'm finishing up my MASH/Bill Maxwell story, Best Care Anywhere, this weekend (hopefully even today). So what's up next from my flying fingers? I'll be writing the alternate MA-rated ending to "To the Wild Country" after all, by popular demand. Meaning MrsMaxwell has asked me about it, lol! Couldn't resist. In light of the tragic "Winter Snow, Aspenglow," I want to write ANOTHER Christmas fic, this time light and happy and playful, to make up for the tragedy I threw into Bill's young life. So stay tuned for that one, it'll be soon, seeing as Christmas is only FIFTEEN DAYS from today! Wow. I still wanna do something about Cosmic Responding. Sadly, thinking I was going to use it for NaNoWriMo, I pulled the original four chapter version, cut out any mention of the Trek crossover character, and whittled it down to two chapters. Now I have silverhammer who'd wanted to read it, but those two chapters are vamoosed. I want to expand on the original concept I'd come up with, and make it a real story, maybe even a real novel, without a crossover character. More on that some day; it's going to be a biggie. And, um... I've got another idea in mind, involving that Relationship That Some Don't Want Mentioned Outside Of Its Own Thread, so go to the Bill/Pam thread for more on that. I only mentioned "To the Wild Country" cuz I already had in this section, so get over it, you-know-who OH yeah, Lilacs IV is still waiting to be put to electrons. If you recall, in Lilacs II, it's indicated at the beginning that O'Neil needs to be disappeared into Witness Protection. All that's going to happen in Lilacs IV. Stay tuned.

I liked the Cosmic Responding Idea story, and I am curious to see it as a GAH stand-alone since I was lost on the other one.

OK, as I promised in the Fanfiction forum thread, here's the teaser to my first individual GAH story. Lauren gave me the encouragement to really expand on this idea when I wrote it as a fake commercial. So, I expanded on it. It's toward the middle of the thread: tgah.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=media&action=display&thread=1134694219Now, I can't post it on the fanfiction.net site until Wednesday because I'm under the three day waiting period (hate spammers, they're the reason). But, my penname will be (unless it's been used) TigreMalabarista (no prizes for guessing this ), so when you see that, it's my story. I plan on posting it Wednesday night when I get home, which means it'll probably be available for reading Thursday morning (I work evenings).
