Yeah, but per GAHeroine, Ralph didn't retire the suit,he had to give it up. Like it or not, it's canon, seeing as it had the original cast and was done by SJC and all. How does she fit in? I agree that it's canon, but there are two ways to work around it. Bear in mind these are based on if the original cast was brought back. First, as they didn't show GAHeroine except when it went into syndication, it could be ignored completely. Most people don't remember this episode (I didn't even know about it until the DVDs came out), so this would be plausible. The second option could be to pull a "Dallas" style twist and pretend it's a bad dream. For example, and I'm using Bill since he was the one who was in GAHeroine to the end, Bill and Ralph could have been on an assignment where they were tracking down a bad guy. In the course of events, Bill was injured/knocked out, and had this dream that Holly received the suit. Anyway, when he comes to he sees Ralph in the jammies and is totally confused. Ralph then explains what happened and the story could go on from there. It would tie in the GAHeroine pilot without having to bring back the character of Holly. Just my two cents.

Some good points; I didn't know about the show myself until I came to this board, not having even glanced at my friend's S1 DVDs (silly me). And as for that entire "Dallas" season, fortunately I wasn't watching it by then, or I probably would've put my foot through the TV set.
Or, as I was thinking after I'd posted that, SJC could just throw canon to the wind like Rick Berman did with Star Trek's original series, but I won't go into that or I'll write a novella in here (moreso than I usually do).

i just hope they don't make a movie at all really, cause you know they will probably screw it up and get some clueless actors that have no feel for what greatest American Hero even is, and the thought of it being ruined erks me to no end

I don't have any plans to see it myself. NOBODY can play Bill Maxwell but Robert Culp. Nobody. (On a similar vein, I've never seen the remake of "Planet of the Apes." Roddy McDowall is Cornelius, period, end of story.)

I don't know what makes me sicker, Hollywood remaking classics with sub-standard casts and scripts, or the teen and 20-year old morons who think its "new".

I agree. The 90's and 00's oughta be called the Re-hash decades parts I and II. Nothing original any more. Rehashed fashion, music, visual entertainment, the works. Yawn. Come up with something ORIGINAL! My main question during all these re-makes is: WHY? Why not let a classic just be, why take characters we all know and love with a particular actor or actress and ruin it? I mean, Owen Wilson as Ken Hutchinson? Please, he wishes he was even a tenth as handsome as David Soul. Ben Stiller as Starsky?? Right. And OWEN WILSON as Kelly Robinson? I ain't even going there, Jack. What is it with that uggo playing characters who were originally played by gorgeous men?? Next thing ya know he'll be playing Ralph Hinkley. Like they say, it ain't who ya know but who ya... well, you know, lol "There is nothing new under the sun."

I can't agrre with you more. when the younger generation thinks something is new and it isn't; that's another thing i've thought about, i mean if they actually make this movie- i'll have to point out to the oblivious that when i'm talking or whatever about GAH that i mean the original, then they'll be thoes completely oblivious that will probably say "huh, it's a remake?" and then my head will explode from the sheer stupidity of the comment. the bottom line is what most of us keep saying cause were dedicated crazed fans, is that you can't get any cooler than Robert Culp, or William Katt, or Sellecca in these roles. To try would be stupid and moronic, and like Billswoman, i have no plans to see it either, it would probably just upset me

... i mean the original....and then my head will explode from the sheer stupidity of the comment...you can't get any cooler than Robert Culp....( LOL, right on, kattwoman! When I was searching for "I Spy," it rather dismayed me that the store personnel always thought I meant that horrid movie, that Culp and Cos didn't even watch, and I sure don't plan on it. I got to the point where I had to specify the actual TV show... and the youngsters were like, Huh? LOL "head would explode." Perfect summation. Mine too. "can't get any cooler than Culp." Tell it, sister! Okay, a nod to your man Katt too, and Connie, can't find anyone more beautiful than she for Pam Davidson.

Connie is the bomb. Who knows? She could STILL play Pam as great as she looks.

Yes she could. She is still really beautiful. She looks much better than many of her contemporaries. And..by the way, of course, I like Paré's idea about being the cool FBI guy. He looks great too. (Gee, what a surprise!) This is from a movie he recently finished, called Crash Landing.

Yeah, Pare aged very well. It seems actors can either age well (like Culp and Pare), or go to hell in hand-basket (Like Rod Steiger and Jerry Lewis).

Oh yeah. Or how about the ones that get just as much plastic surgery as Joan Rivers, like Burt Reynolds, for instance? He looks like a wax dummy of himself!
Of course, Paré is only 45, and I think he looks better as he gets older.

Holy Christmas, Batman, I didn't know Tony was MY age! A wee bit older, actually (I just turned 44.) So I CAN drool all over him when I watch GAH and not feel like a chi'mo, far out! Cuz I turned 20 the year GAH premiered. Heck, I've always known he was a cutie pie He certainly has aged well, hasn't he? Great, now I'm making myself feel old.

Oh, well, as I tell my students...each person has a different perception or awareness of how they fit into the world, so I guess you can feel that way if you want too.

Hey Derek:
Did you decide to post on this board beacuse you wanted to discus the Greatest American Hero? Because I'm starting to believe you are just here to irritate people. Alot of you posts are out of line. You make negative comments about other members' home states, ages, opinions and fanfics. What's your problem?
