POPEYE was awesome...I do have to agree with that. I used to try spinach every now and then when I was little...hoping I would like it...I never did. Too bad he didn't eat something else like sauerkraut...I used to go in phases of eating that stuff or maybe liver and onions...who have I grossed out? I like spinach, but really don't like mustard greens. Only food I will not eat unless have to (i.e. life or death). And I say this despite the fact I've eaten some exotic foods (seaweed, sweet and sour pigs feet, etc.). Anyway, I also remember watching the really old cartoons such as Bosko and Babs back when Nickleodeon used to show Looney Tunes. They'd run two of the more modern day ones ('60s-present) and one of the old B&W kids. Watching those was kind of like reading the Katzenjammer Kids or Gasoline Alley. I read both going through microfiche at a paper and the latter one in everyday papers until it disappeared. Good to read and was a nice change to have the true classics and the more modern day ones.

Wow, 25th anniversary. I officially feel old (again); I was in college when GAH was out. has it been that long!? Dang man, I was 2yrs old when GAH Came out Yep, I know the feeling. I'm not much older than you (I was three when it first aired), and remember watching the show for the first time. Funny thing is, I remembered certain stories but not others based on a scene or two (well, especially most of third season save "Carlini.") When I got the DVDs, I remembered the pilot just because of the unique holograph design, second season remembered Train of Thought and a couple of others. Third season, of course, was the aforementioned "Carlini" and only because of the water torture trick scene. Then again, I got one of the biggest shocks of my life (as in I'm getting old) when I went to a Claire's store. They had Monchichi's for sale. (In case your wondering, they were characters that looked like a monkey but had more of a hedgehog face). The character is one of those ones most people wouldn't immediately recognize (pretty archaic too), so I was rather surprised. Took everything I could not to shout out "You're making me feel old. Stop it."

No, it didn't. There weren't enough people interested in it, if I remember right. It was fun to plan though, and maybe next year it'll happen.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED DW back then but now, I'm not a big Disney Toon Fan I'm more of a Loney Tune Fan. The last time I dressed up was a couple of years ago as a variation of the Doctor from "Doctor Who." The jacket, while in shades of brown and black, would actually be reminiscent of the Sixth Doctor's jacket (Pattern wise anyway. It's a lot shorter and the colors do compliment each other.) I also dressed up as a medieval princess too at college, as well as a jester at the Madrigal dinner, not to mention a few mascots and such. I wore a pair of black pants, shoes and a shirt of some sort (don't know if I wore a black one or brown.) The only other times I've really dressed up since are for juggling routines and when I dressed up as a hippie at work this year during Halloween. Still get a kick out of when I did the juggling routine to GAH. Though I didn't wear the jammies (didn't let me), people still recognized the show. (Sorry... I've got costumes on my mind, but for a different (and good/clean) reason. )
