I also posted an epilogue (HA! I can do that! I'm a MODERATOR!) Anywho, the thread is now locked for posterity, but any comment for the authors (past and present) are welcome here, as well as the little epilogue mentioned above. And how about some ideas for a new story thread? Yes, and it was a very good one too. I planned on adding on to my previous summary the rest of the story, should I post it here, make a new thread in the TV series folder or just not do one?

I think your summary would work in the epilogue/comments thread, but what do you mean by the rest of the story? Not my epilogue, I hope? I had planned on copying the story only and posting it elsewhere (not on the site; greenguy doesn't have any fanfic there) with a link to it after your summary...

Sorry, I meant adding on to what I had originally wrote about the story in progress a few posts back when I was helping HD out with what was going on. It finished with Mr. Yates being up in the air flying on Fokus' shoulders, and the next part would be the meeting in the spaceship up to the finale (or my last post). I won't include the epilogue unless you want me to. (Sad thing about proofing pages combined with lack of sleep, you get so nit-picky with those errors that you can't write straight when trying to communicate on messageboards. )

Geez...just because someone is a moderator, they think they can do anything. MyTatuo sez: "Yes, anything at all."

I don't know if you folks have discovered them yet, they were posted on November 19, but there're two new GAH stories on FF.net that are AWESOMELY good! I don't know if the author comes to this board, I hope she does (I'm assuming it's a woman, cuz the author's nym is 'and her magical cat Roscoe'). Any way, it's "Contact" first then "In your Dreams." VERY good writing, characterization, action, humor, it's got it all. The stories are related, so read "Contact" first. They take place between Seasons 2 and 3. Here's the link to the GAH area, in case you don't have it handy: www.fanfiction.net/l/877/3/0/1/1/0/0/0/1/Please be kind and leave a review; it's what we fanfic writers live for.

Ya'll are too, too kind. Praise from 2 such talented authors really means a lot to a newbie like me. (me being "and... roscoe")
Ah'm dee-lighted to be heah. I'm so excited, my Southernese keeps popping out.
Hey, not to make this thread all me, all the time, I wanted to let any intersested parties know I did detailed outlines for the last two parts (not counting the coda) of the series. Which, I'm now calling "The Moonglow Scenario" (still too squishy? it's got to have Moon in it - I'm open to suggestions).
If you crave spoilers, I will provide. It'll help me knuckle down and get the words out. I've got to make room in my brain for 3 new plots that erupted over the weekend. One's a holiday story so I need to get cranking if it's going to be timely.

Ooh, ooh, ooh <----- picture Arnold Horshak, Miss Silverhammer-uh! I'll take one of them thar spoilers for your series!
Damn Southernese any way (and yes, I'm allowed, being the child of two parents from Mississippi!)
Ooooh, a HOLIDAY story! Wanna make that a challenge?
I know, I know, I've already got enough WIPs. Maybe if I make the rule that I get the three in-progress on FF.net done, I can get a little holiday one-shot done in time.
Also, if anyone cares, I wanted to admit I'm a dingbat. I've now got two stories for GAH posted to adultfanfiction.net, one's complete, one's not. I was contacting them about PLEASE adding GAH to the TV shows category, then what do I find? It's under THE Greatest American Hero. So that's been fixed. I know, y'all care.

I'd been trying to think of a plot to use for one... maybe I'll just go with a simple one that's been used a kajillion times & see where it takes me.

I'm back! Sorry for the delay - I went chasing a plot bunny. I have a new one-shot to post, but I may wait until tomorrow seeing as how there's been a flurry of activity on FF.net! The new fic has the word "Christmas" in it, but is not my entry in [drumroll] "Billswoman's Christmas Fic Challenge"(tm) Okay, I've never been in a challenge - are there rules? Or is it just, post it or else? I see there's an early entry... and, man, is it good! Lauren, "The Red Suit" is hilariously funny and dead-on target. Fab-u-lous. [pursing lips] I'm going to have to work harder on my idea. Right now the only part I'm pleased with is the title - "Merry Christmas, Mr. Maxwell" - the rest is still fluxing. Er, this post is getting long (how strange for me, huh, billswoman ) so I'll make with the promised spoilers in a new entry...

Lauren beat us to it, silverhammer! Here's Chapter One, with three more completed chapters waiting in the wings. "Winter Snow, Aspenglow" www.fanfiction.net/s/2673597/1/I'll warn you now: it's a real tearjerker, if I did my work right, and I think I did. Heck, I'm bawling just THINKING of what I'll be writing! I stole the title from a John Denver song, but that's the only connection. Sweet song, tragic story. Read it and find out why. Check often, by changing the last number of the URL to the next chapter number. I've just posted Chapter Two and Three and Four will be on there shortly. FF.net doesn't update very fast, so if you're itching for more, just change that 1 to a 2 and so forth.

I'm going to wait for the full monty - I don't handle antici... pation very well But... I went ahead and jumped on the fic-wagon and posted a new one-shot dealy called "Come Together... Over Me." It is both a sincere homage to billswoman's bravery, while at the same time being a crass fan-wank on my screen name. The best of both worlds! To whet your appetite, here's the photographic evidence Bill whips out in the course of the story. Look on in wonder... i34.photobucket.com/albums/d141/androscoe/FicArt/bilbeatles1.jpg(I tried to add the photo to this post, but apparently I'm either a lame-brain or have the wrong browser. or both. When I hit the "insert picture" button all it does is duplicate the text in my post. sigh... i hate making people go throught an extra click.)

Well, here's the REAL tearjerking chapter. The concluding chapter, which sadly will have to wait till this evening (I've got turkey to feast on, after all) should be tearjerking too, but in both a poignant and joyful fashion. If I do this right. Have the tissue ready, ladies, you'll need it. Hell, I was bawling while writing, I had to proof it a couple of times, for trying to read through the tears. www.fanfiction.net/s/2673597/5/Fanfiction.net's only showing the first chapter, I think, so like I said, just change the last number in the URL to the chapter you want. Five is the latest, and Six will conclude it.

Ok, ok, back again - Y'all so GD prolific! I finally got to read "Aspenglow" and it was as awesome as I expected. Then the ending knocked my socks off. ****=A 4 Suit Rating. Ok, ok, spoilers. Well, here's one for the fic that was spawned from "Come Together" (geez, I'm easily distracted aren't I? It's y'all's fault. Your comments made me start thinking about potential developments and I wound up with a whole new story). Turns out "Come Together" is just the prequel in a 3-part arc called "Tango de Los Angeles" or "Tango of the Angels". Part 2 is the beef. Here's an excerpt from the WIP: Ralph turned to back to Pam.
“Love you, sweetheart,” he said and gave her a quick kiss on the lips, then leaned away and adjusted the bag on his shoulder.
On a sudden impulse she reached out and took his face between her hands. She pulled him close and felt his mouth open against hers.
She traced her tongue along the curve of his bottom lip then took it gently in her teeth. She felt his sharp intake of breath and turned her head to deepen the kiss.
When she stepped back a moment later, she let her hands fall to his chest. His heart thrummed against her fingertips. His blue eyes were wide and feverishly bright.
“See you tomorrow night,” she whispered.
“R-right,” he said and licked his lips. “Uh.”
He glanced up at the departure board. “Or I could-“
She laughed and gave him a gentle push.
“Get on the plane,” she said.
He was still looking over his shoulder at her when he turned the corner on the gangway and disappeared.
She stood watching the plane pull away from the gate and felt Bill move up beside her.
“Good one, Davidson,” he said. “Alicia’s going to have a tough time competing with that memory.”
She rolled her eyes.
“I’m not the slightest bit worried about Ralph being alone with Alicia,” she said.
“Not now,” he answered pleasantly.
“Not ever,” she said and turned on her heel.
[singing] Livin' la Vida Fic-a!

I'm such a goob, when I read this excerpt in the email from you, I totally missed this line: "...and felt Bill move up beside her."
I've got to slow down when I read your stuff, damn! It's always so good my eyes get away from my mind, trying to take it all in simultaneously or something.

Would it be bad of me to start a new Topic/Thread on "Quicksilver"? I'm new 'round these parts and don't want to be kickin' sand on anybody's picnic by bein' uppity. But I also don't want to clog the main Fic thread with my fic-bidness.
What'ch'all think?

But I also don't want to clog the main Fic thread with my fic-bidness. What'ch'all think? LOL@fic-bidness! Sure, go ahead. You'll see there're lots of threads for specific stories or series (okay, mostly mine, I admit it freely). I realized that my loyal, devoted readers must feel like I am feeling now, waiting patiently (or impatiently, as I am doing) for MORE MORE MORE! I've gots to finish my MASH/Maxwell "Best Care Anywhere," darn it! Then get the conclusion to the Lilacs Series finished. And get the Skipper and Ginger married off, but that's another TV show (although it ties in with the Lilacs Series as well... it's my take on how they get together pre-Lilacs III). silverhammer, go read BCA; it's got Bill Maxwell in it. I wasn't sure if you skipped over it cuz it says MASH, not GAH. I had to put it on the MASH side so I could put it in the C2 for Charles Winchester (I'm on the staff there, I can do that.)

Well, as promised, here's the teaser for the first interactive game thread, completed Nov. 10. [shadow=red,2,300]"Ruby in the sky with Greenguys"[/shadow]A simple trip to a comic shop begins the adventure of a lifetime, well maybe two, for Ralph, Pam and Bill. Mysterious green guys wearing black threaten Ralph to give up his suit, or the world as he knows it will cease to exist. Meanwhile, present day Arizona disappears, returning to the 1800s. The three find out that these green guys are altering the past through a mysterious item traveling in the time, and only Ralph can go back to the past to save history. Pam and Bill must help out as best they can as third-string utility backup, but their choices might help or hinder Ralph. Despite an initial setback when he’s knocked unconscious after the trip through time, Ralph finds a friend who helps him find the person who is carrying the item. It’s not as easy as you’d think, though, as Ralph finds out his family and past are connected through that item in more ways than one. Not only that, the rouge green guys, strange tornadoes and a mysterious fog are hindering his success at every turn, making his task more difficult and dangerous. Every decision Ralph makes in the past could very well be the last for him and his great-great-grandparents. The world’s fate rests literally in the hands of Ralph in the choice of a lifetime (his own). Will Ralph succeed in saving Arizona and the world from the rogue green guys or is this adventure just too much for our Greatest American Hero? Featuring contributions from writers jasonrobertyates, MelMac, houdiniderek, magicjammies, PAF, ThatGirl, Lupin, Bat65, and MyTatuo, here it is folks, the first GAH Interactive Game Thread: "Ruby in the sky with Greenguys." tgah.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=show&action=display&thread=1110148239
