I have the movies Marci as well as Dalekmania and can try to find out for you if you'd like. Personally, I liked the Cushing movies, though my favorite one is "Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 A.D." (the second one). Prometheus, I will warn you though - there are definite differences between the movie and TV Doctors, but are still fun to watch. I've got Dalekmania too. Wasn't what I expected.

True, same here. Out of all three, I watch it the least. Have thought about getting Pertwee's episode "Inferno" though - from the clips I've seen it's a very good ep. Have also considered "The Sea Devils" as well or "Dr Who and the Silurians." One that will never get my money - "Horns of Nimon." Especially when I hear "Nimon... are you there? It is I ... Soooolldeeeed. (Soldeed)"

I just found out about it on Tuesday and was able to watch it later that night. Surprised it flew past the radar here, then again during Easter I was mainly focused on watching the three part Red Dwarf special.

Surprised it flew past the radar here, then again during Easter I was mainly focused on watching the three part Red Dwarf special. I have seen only part of it. Right now, I'm waiting until I have enough time to really sit down and watch it. That said, I did see "Fires of Pompeii" again so I could see the new companion in action as one of the soothsayers in that ep. (I do agree with a fellow Whovian though and think that a lot of times they just like casting people who have been in the show as a guest earlier on - all save Piper have fallen victim to that, though Tate at least was the same person returning.) I think Karen Gillan will be good in the role, though she will be the youngest companion they've had in this run of the series (I think even Piper was 24). Now, I did forget about the three part "Red Dwarf" special though, and will have to see if I can catch it somewhere.

I've recently become addicted to "Land of the Lost". . . I liked the original and remake of the series, but the movie I'm iffy on. It seems - to me - the only real tribute to the show I see are the green monsters (sleezaks?) I think the next movie I'm going to try and see is "Star Trek," which I've heard is very good, and "Night at the Smithsonian."

It's not NIGHT AT THE SMITHSONIAN.

It's not NIGHT AT THE SMITHSONIAN. Night at the Museum then - where they go to the Smithsonian. I might not get titles right all the time (or names), but at least I do know it's a new one where they're in the Smithsonian. Not totally in the Dark Ages here. ... Well... OK... *Ahem* Me no like shiny light. Need to remember no hit rocks together.

I loved it. ;D Hey, does anyone remember a show from the late '80s called The New Adventures of Beans Baxter? It only had a short run, but it was quite wacky & funny. Nobody I've mentioned it to seems to remember it, but I hope to find it on DVD one day, although it's doubtful. Feel the love. dolfyn.

I have never heard of it. It sounds like it is unlikely to come out on DVD though with only 15 episodes and not a lot of hoopla, especially on the internet.

^ Yeah, it's a pity. It was one of those clever little gems that got overlooked & then cancelled before its time. Sound familiar? In other retro-TV news, I recently bought the entire first series of The Monkees on DVD! It's got heaps of extras, too. I grew up watching the reruns, so I'm quite thrilled to finally add the series to my growing DVD collection. ;D Feel the love. dolfyn.

If Lauren doesn't already have that, she might be coming your way, dolfyn. ;D Yeah...there's a lot of shows that fall victim to being ahead of their time and cancelled.

I've been waiting for a new release of The Monkees on DVD...the last pack from Rhino was very expensive and from what I hear, not very good transfer quality. Is that a new release? If so, hopefully it will make it this way soon. Star Trek is awesome (seen four times now!) and definitely felt like a "movie" compared to the Picard "expanded TV episode" films. The opening scene being so sad let people know right away they were taking Star Trek very seriously despite the hilarious moments inside. Land of the Lost: not gonna bother for several reasons. One: Will Ferrell. Two: From what I hear, not a "family film." Three: Will Ferrell. Although to be fair, Dukes of Hazzard turned the old TV show on its ear and I still liked it...but at least it didn't have Will Ferrell.

Anyone ever remember watching "The Invaders"?
Agree about Star Trek. It was totally awesome. I didn't wast my time on Land of the Lost...

Anyone ever remember watching "The Invaders"? Yep...and I own both DVD sets. A friend of mine recently had some t-shirts produced with the Invaders logo and saucer. I've had several people comment on it.
