It's supposed to snow more come Monday.

It's supposed to snow more come Monday. Not in the part *I* live in. It's now 70 here and not supposed to get into the 20s until Thursday if it does. Then again, given my cat has managed to break one of my watch crystals, I better not trust that weather any time soon.

I love how you think your cat and watch crystals are tied to the weather in Texas.

I don't know - it's weird though.
Today I made cookies for someone who did a good deed for me this weekend - and I end up having one batch slide into a corner so they got all crumbled and smooshy, and the other batch fortunately stayed OK.
Oh, and I break the plate I got to put the cookies on, but was able to save some pieces that didn't shatter and will now turn into little paper weights or pendants once I paint them.
It's just been weird - so the cat and the watch crystals makes a lot of sense actually.

I don't see how breaking a cookie plate makes less sense than a cat and watch crystals. What kind of cookies did you bake? That's the main thing. ;D

Trust me, I wish I knew. And I made sugar cookies and decorated them with vanilla icing - representing the snow, and sprinkles, representing the ice and such. (Yes, the ones I ended up stuck with because they smashed are really good.)

Made my first warring bead - looks good but it's a little too big given I stacked it too high.
That said, I know how to successfully make them out of clay and can adjust accordingly.

Been trying new things out of clay, and have done rather well. The first is a warring states bead and the next photo is some other clay projects I've made: Have a few other ideas in my head as well as modifying the shield pendants (the funny looking triangles in the second photo) to make them work a bit better. Oh, and I have a cylinder warring bead as well, just in slightly different colors. And, if I can figure what shape I want to make the bead, I may do a warring bead in red/black/white/grey.

You know you had a REALLY long day Feb. 16 when you forget people's birthdays. It was Katt's birthday yesterday.

I have got to remember to not listen to "I am the Doctor" 10 times in a row or I get it stuck in my head.
Not bad, but there is a part in there that's relaxing and it can easily lull you to sleep if your not careful.

Why do cats stare out of windows a couple of floors up, see a bird in a tree, and paw at it through the window thinking they're going to get it?
I mean seriously, this cat is so annoying with that.
Then again - given it's a mockingbird, I can't blame her for being tired of being mocked.

I was watching the "In Memoriam" portion from the Oscars last night...they remembered Robert Culp.

I'm glad they remembered Culp in the Oscar memoriam, but was disappointed they did intentionally forget Farrah Fawcett because she was supposedly seen as a "TV actress."
Methinks the ones putting things together are really young now, as Fawcett was in "Logan's Run" (also probably the only woman in that movie besides Jenny Agutter in being a popular pinup of the '70s). She also was in "The Burning Bed," which though a TV movie, was still a movie and won her an award I think.
Come to think of it, there were several actors who passed this year who did very well in both TV and movie - Culp, Fawcett, Leslie Nielsen, James MacArthur, and quite a few others.
Mind boggles.

I've made a few more clay and glass projects, but have taken a break for a few days in order to rest from driving practically across Texas in the past two weeks.
That said, I found out a couple of days ago I won third in a photo contest here in town and my photo is going to be turned into a postcard. The other photo was hugely popular and may also be included in either the postcards or other PR work.
